Morning, just !
Missed last night's on the Temporary PM and DLA/PIP because I was off to bed thinking of listening to the Week in Westminster .
That didn't take long as they began with the spiel from Gideon Alter, which we now definitely know to be completely untrue . A BBC R4 news also allowed him free reign . Disgrace. Also switched off.

Sky -- " Which thankfully seems to have been the majority response on the various benefit forums I peruse. Funnily enough the most scathing attacks on Sunak I've seen haven't come from disability benefit claimants but from actual job centre staff posting on Reddit. Presumably because of all government depts the DWP has the highest number off sick due to mental health problems. "

Imagine their colleagues being called on to persecute them ?

Nesreen Malik on lecturing the world when your own country has swathes of poverty , boarded up shops, and sick people -

So how is British foreign policy to work, now that its Brexit ambitions have been dashed? The shadow foreign secretary, David Lammy, has a suggestion – “progressive realism”, which reads to me like an acceptance of Britain’s new place in the world, but with an added dash of divestment from any sort of underlying values. Or as Lammy himself puts it, “the pursuit of ideals without delusions about what is achievable”

My party will have Realistic Progressivism as its warcry :-)

Some years ago my sister had her 'NHS' hip done privately, and last week her husband had this, while they had themselves been thinking of paying up --
He saw a nurse at the surgery who looked at the X-rays and asked if he wanted to go on the NHS list - 9 months + - or go to the local Spire (Bupa as was) and wait a week 🧐
So are the specialists who do both going to be working overtime on the private, or what ?

The new capacity on the private hasn't come out of thin air ...

At 13.08 WATO disgraces itself saying Gideon Alter " only wanted to cross the road"

(my paraphrase but that's the essence of it )

The little shit had an airing on Good Morning Britain too.

It really shouldn't need pointing out, but being legally entitled to act like a provocative dickhead doesn't mean that you are morally obliged to do so.
