Anybody else think the Electoral Commission should be putting the bar a bit higher than this?In the 6.50am slot the Today programme interviewed Vijay Rangarajan, chief executive of the Electoral Commission, to ask him about the impact of the photo ID requirement for voters and he claimed that the new rule did not create “any major problems”.
'An awful lot of people had brought it'.
He doesn't seem to have anything but anecdotal evidence and he doesn't seem to care very much.

Ben Houchen (who never wore a Tory rosette at his declaration) at least had the grace to look embarrassed when Sunak claimed his win as personal vindication.

Our equivalent (I think ?? ) of the CPS is the investigating magistrate, and on financial biz some are specialists ...AnatolyKasparov wrote: ↑Fri 03 May, 2024 3:44 pm Ben Houchen (who never wore a Tory rosette at his declaration) at least had the grace to look embarrassed when Sunak claimed his win as personal vindication.
Examining magistrate

Investigating judges in France have an important role in the French judiciary. They are also a feature of the Spanish, Dutch, Belgian and Greek criminal justice ...
Enough dirt has been thrown on Houchen, let alone the Fast Track PPE Billions, to have the Frog 'pôle financiére' of specialist magistrates wetting themselves in anticipation ....
