I can't believe Starmer has gone to Italy for advice on how to handle immigration. Might as well just stay here and ask Kemi or Suella for advice, it will be just as bat-shit right-wing.

Starmer is meeting major European leaders, you might have a point if he had prioritised Meloni but he went to see the likes of Scholz and Macron first.

You might have a point, if it wasn't being briefed that he was taking advice from Meloni in particular.

I’m really torn with the present situation politically. I’ve resigned my Labour membership because of Starmer’s behaviour re Gaza but still remain viscerally a member of the party. I want him (them) to do the right thing but fear that they’re not going to. I guess I’ll give them til the budget but if that doesn’t offer something then I’m done being a Labour voter.
