Last word on this (promise), as there is a serious point behind it all, and Peter Griffin has done a better job than most of nailing it:

Can this be the "FTN Pick" please?

In tomorrow's Times - Lord Kinnock warns Ed Miliband will receive worse treatment in this election campaign than he received in 1992.

I fear he's right.
With the odd notable exception. If the Mirror has started writing moving pieces like this I may have to check it out more often.

He knows.

Miliband knows.
I take consolation in the fact Ed Miliband has prepared himself, the party for the worst.

I've just read that. It is, as you say, very moving. Perhaps the constant hints and digs at Ed's jewish heritage aren't going to be the bombshells that the right wing press - and their chosen parties - have hoped in this year when the Holocaust features so much. They might actually remind people of the importance of the qualities of resilience and courage.

Really? What's going on seismically? I'm unfamiliar with the geology of the area. Is that normal? I'll look it up.

Editing to add:
Mr Farage dismissed them as jokey remarks.

Tonight a UKIP spokesman said: “UKIP is non-racist, non-sectarian. Mark Walker will not be selected as we believe his comments show he is unsuitable.”
Farage must have a special swivel unit in his neck he's doing so many 360 degree turns ... utterly shameless.

:lurk: Evening all!

Am I being overly cynical, and I'm quite prepared to accept that I am, to think that Callme's decision not to go to Auschwitz on the actual anniversary of the liberation might be viewed as deliberate in the context of the apparent Lynton bacon/weird looking/dog whistle campaign?

*edit* Had a moments word blindness, so checked up "overly" on google. Amazing what google auto-suggested. I'll never cease to be amazed/puzzled by people. And I still have a funny feeling about "overly". Doesn't seem right. Hey-ho.

and who thought this was a good idea ? 60 seconds of nothing happening followed by Nick Clegg. Do we have some special private polling that says that if only people see 60 seconds or Nick Clegg they will vote Lib Dem ? Because all the sensible advice has been promote other people and keep him off the telly, but, like a moth to a light bulb be thinks if he can say one more think people will forget the bad stuff. In his own words, he’s like an ex leaving messages on your phone asking for one more chance...

Not with those sales figures.

I see there's likely money for the Glasgow Airport Rail Link, which the SNP cancelled and tried to sell route of.

They did more than 'try to sell' - they sold land back to its original owner at an almost £800,000 cost to the taxpayer. (By pure coincidence, the owner was a 'yes' supporter ... allegedly).

I think Ernst in particular will like this:
That is not how the criticism is viewed by the Labour leadership. One party source said: “We don’t think there is a conspiracy to undermine us. The Blairites couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery; they couldn’t get rid of Gordon Brown before the 2010 election. They dip in and out of politics these days and get their facts wrong.”

He dismissed Mr Milburn’s criticism that Labour would not match its extra money for the NHS with reform, citing the shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham’s radical plan to integrate hospital and social care.

The source said: “Alan is vain. He believes the only kind of reform is his reforms, which would lead to marketisation and privatisation. Alan could throw money at the NHS when he was Health Secretary. We won’t have that option. Our reforms will save money.”
