Said I wouldn't mention this again, but...

I'm joining RobertSnozers in his boycott of that site. Spent half an hour this morning looking at the feedback thread. In just the last two pages, there are at least three more totally new joiners, all web developers, saying how great the new site is and patronising the long-term commenters while they're at it. Here's one:

The three stages in my total disillusionment with the Guardian can be summed up as follows:

1) Nick Clegg > any firm belief in social justice

2) Russell Brand and his thesaurus > the long and complex history of political ideas

3) Nathan Barley and his fucking echo chamber > thousands of loyal readers and commenters

I can take a hint.

All of this has taken place in the last five years. It's very very sad.

Hello All.I am what my user name says,a grumpy old git.So have abandoned the Guardian after it has now gone from Beta to bloody awful.

I will pop in now and then when I am not looking after my Grandson,my daughter has to work,part time,to keep Mr Duncan Smith happy.She is classified has self employed but does craft fairs in summer and indoor car boots in winter to keep the Gestapo,sorry job centre of her back.

My Wife and I take it in turns to go out,to cold to take the three year old shopping.So one has to stay in to look after him.

Anyway,that is my intro,got to go,babysitting soon,catch you all again in the near future.

This is the basis for all the campaigning by the Blue Meanies and the Libbing Dead.

We were just like Greece and that's why Clegg had to break all his Cledges under torture by Labour.
Benefit claimants were knitted by Labour by the million and they are responsible for the worldwide crash.
Immigration has only increased because the UK has a generous Labour benefits system.
Leveson has not been implemented because Labour are responsible for the left-wing BBC.
The CSA enquiry hasn't happened because there's no money left because of benefit claimants.
Crazy people are only crazy because Labour didn't enforce DWP treatment on them subject to sanction.
The NHS is only in a mess because nobody in Labour listened to Julie Bailey who is a charity honest.
The courts system is only in a mess because of all Labour's benefit claimants having appeals etc.
Suicides in prisons are due to Labour failing to cure people of addiction and claiming benefits.
The EU is not fit for purpose because Labour under Heath took us into the Common Market 40 years ago.
Child poverty is not like what it is in Somalia which has no food banks because it is run by Labour.
Free schools are much cheaper than expensive schools under Labour who made children so thick they became benefit claimants.

Everything else is entirely due to people like Jamp and Ephemerid because they are either -
a)benefit claimants, b)possibly supporters of Labour whose fault it all is, d)poor people who suffer from Labour-induced worklessness.

Now that you know what you are really responsible for, you must apologise to the nation at once or it's bed for you with no tea.

The Liaison and diversion pilots should help, but will be pointless if MH services don't exist.

Labour shadow cabinet minister Sadiq Khan has made a huge leap forward in the race to become his party’s candidate for Mayor, a YouGov poll reveals today.

The survey carried out earlier this month shows the shadow justice secretary now has more backing amongst Labour supporters than any potential candidate bar frontrunner Tessa Jowell.

The new figures will come as a shock to the MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington Diane Abbott and Tottenham MP David Lammy, both of whom have been leap-frogged by Mr Khan and Ms Hodge.

Ms Abbott’s support fell from 20 per cent at the end of last year to 12 per cent in January, whereas Mr Lammy’s backing fell from 17 per cent to 14 per cent.

(Where a great deal of 'smoke & mirrors' accounting enabled them to simultaneously get 'no recession' (2 Qs negative growth) whilst also telling us it was the deepest recession in decades. The governor added that there are four features of Britain’s economic model that showed how to escape a debt trap:

an integrated financial system that channelled savings (and vast amounts of public money) into (Vulture Capitalist Fund) investment;

fiscal policy that moved money around the UK ('s new mega-rich individuals and multi-national corporations various bank accounts) and was flexible enough to allow budget deficits to rise during downturns (which, to quote Clucker and Gidiot 'is absolutely a really really bad thing and it's all their fault, so there');

the economy was open and flexible (enough to allow undreamed of control of the trickle up of money to the rich);

and the monetary policy operated by Threadneedle Street was credible (the last time was about 4 1/2 years ago).

Triple A's all round, what!

...and, frankly, after that sort of statement, I'm not even sure he knows how to count, let alone help(?) running an economy. (I believe(TM) the destruction of public services in Canada was a 'training exercise' for him...but a small population over a vast area with massive natural resources made a bit easier to get away with.)

"Cif Underground" and "The Untrusted". Mainly refugees from Waddya, CU is gossipy, musicky stuff (a dedicated "The Pub" if you will) and UT is a bit more serious & political; MsChin and MBC1955 also post there.

I've been reading posts at a couple of the other refuges, CU & UT, and it looks as though the Graun has lost an absolute shedload of posters in the past couple of days, and good posters at that. They can't say they weren't warned.

The Graun has settled for quantity over quality. There's more money in it.
