IMO,if Dean Archer is interviewed on TV,Shapps is toast.
Shapps' lawyers demanded compensation and legal costs,the poor guy was scared he would lose his house.Shapps was really abusing his position as mp,ESPECIALLY as Mr Archer wasn't the one lying.
This was certainly not a small mistake.

Dean Archer was on C4 news. He said that he would accept an apology from Shapps - face to face, nothing less.

Allow me to dissect the post for you.

1. Charlotte wants us all to know how important she is, so she talks a lot about how much work she does with jolly important people.
2. Charlotte wants us all to know how really really hard people like her actually work when they do committees and stuff.
3. Charlotte thinks that someone else (clerks) could have sorted out which Labour amendments to the report should be allowed.
4. Charlotte thinks the Labour person who wanted the amendments doesn't know what they actually want at all. (They do)
5. Charlotte writes all this stuff on Conservative Home calling upon Labour politicians to sort all this out. An obvious choice.
6. Charlotte tells us that the NHS is not being privatised, there are no charges, and TTIP will not affect the NHS.

Charlotte is very very clever and very very hardworking and now we all know this we must listen to what she says. To Labour.

Now that I have clarified matters for you, dear Paul, I claim my prize.

I would prefer the year on a Greek Island (where I have been told they have a socialist government) rather than the spa voucher.

· 56 patient beds;
· a large outpatient area with 20 consulting rooms;
· an oncology suite of six treatment cubicles and sensory garden;
· three laminar flow/laparoscopic theatres and a hybrid theatre/catheter lab;
· a JAG compliant endoscopy suite;
· a six bedded Critical Care Unit;
· a fixed MRI and CT facility;
· an enhanced physiotherapy facility with access to outside exercise area.

Clearly, the private healthcare market in the UK is expected to continue its growth phase – with 10%'s-worth of, er, cross-fertilisation from the NHS in hips and knees. Nice and handy for the airport, if you can get a slot for your private plane. Hope it's going to be very heavily soundproofed – although you can't soundproof the outdoor exercise area attached to the physio department. Nah, if I were going to pay for the enjoyment of a private hospital I wouldn't want to be bang next door to an airport. I'd want somewhere well away from commercial flight-paths and pollution – I can get that at home

Note: I don't begrudge people (NHS patients) getting their knees and hips done as soon as possible – nor oncology patients. I just wish the funding and facilities and staff and equipment were being provided within the NHS, rather than contributing to the profits of private hospital groups.
