If these interviews are 9-10 and 10-11 why does C4 coverage finish at 10:35pm according to the Radio Times?
Re: Thursday 26th March
Paxo definitely not impressed with Dave's views on foodbank usage.

Paxman punching!
[1] Food banks. Dave said Labour didn't advertise food banks when they were in power.
ZH Dave says pay isn't that low.
So far Paxman hitting hard.

Paxman asks about the rich people Dave's put into government.
Dave showing he's said to the dodgy people he's taken on don't tell me and then I can say I didn't know.
Now Paxman asking about how much government has borrowed. Oh dear, oh dear.
Immigration. Dave says more immigrants because more jobs.

Ha! Paxman just brought up VAT: "You told me twice, to my face, that you wouldn't raise VAT".

Sorry yahyah, only just got in and am having to go out again. Mind you I did catch a classic line (dunno if someone else has covered it). Cameron told Paxo, "That is not the question." To which Paxman replied, "It's the one I'm asking" or words to that effect. I can't tell if audience sound levels have been reduced but they seemed amused; definitely some laughter.yahyah wrote:... VAT. Paxman says in 2010 you promised not to raise VAT and the minute you got in you did.
Paxman says you said one thing, and did another.
Paxman: Where are the savings going to come from?
Dave's rambling and Paxman is looking pained. Says you talk about transparency but don't tell us what you're going to do.

Audience very quiet and self contained at the moment. A couple of them nodding so you know how they're going to vote regardless.
Lets see if they've taken a leaf out of the oldies book. A nice bit of heckling would liven things up. Otherwise its feeling very flat at the moment.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to pay it much attention but did notice Cameron claimed the same £20bn welfare saving during this government as Sajid Javid had last night. Someone had better push them to produce the figures.

18 mins Cameron interview, 18 mins Cameron faces questions from audience, 18 mins Miliband questions from audience, 18 mins Miliband interview plus advert breaks. They'll probably have pundits to fill further gaps and, possibly, to ensure that Cameron leaves the building before Miliband arrives so that they can't possibly encounter each other or be photographed in the same shot...Spacedone wrote:If these interviews are 9-10 and 10-11 why does C4 coverage finish at 10:35pm according to the Radio Times?

Police now.
A policeman in the audience asking what Dave's going to do about cuts.
Nothing as far as I can make out.
He says the police aren't under pressure and crime is coming down.

Re: Thursday 26th March
As I pointed out at the time of the budget and again tonight...they're believing their own lies.A fact check from the Observer’s economics editor Heather Stewart:
David Cameron claimed that ‘the stock of debt is falling as a percentage of GDP’. George Osborne proudly announced at last week’s budget that it will fall in the coming financial year, 2015-16, but the prime minister is wrong to claim that it’s falling already; and as the Office for Budget Responsibility pointed out, he only achieved this forecast reduction by counting on the proceeds of a sell-off of some of the banking assets the Treasury has owned since the financial crisis.

Disabled question now. Nothing about benefits though. About getting them into work and attitudes.
Mr Ohso says the audience is so quiet it's fixed. Disabled woman who asked the question says she's more or less satisfied with his answer....
Sheesh.

Would you like to see more private services for the NHS
Ivan again.
Dave says private a small proportion. Now talking bout Marie Curie and Macmillan nurses.
Next question. About the NHS. No top down reorganisation.
Lady said her area had to take Dave to court to keep her hospital open.
Dave says biggest promise about the NHS was not to privatise it and they haven't.
More money. Cancer treatment up. treating more patients.

Figures published by the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) show that Wokingham borough schools will receive £4,158 per pupil in 2015/16.
This compares against an average of £6,297 per pupil among the 10 best-funded areas.
