JUSTICE secretary Chris Grayling tonight (Monday) responded to concerns from Conservative voters that the party was not campaigning hard enough in the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency ahead of the general election by saying the party’s big billboards and leaflet campaigns were reserved for marginal seats.
The Tory big hitter’s comments added to the frustration of party supporters who were among an audience at the JW3 Centre in Finchley Road. They had been upset by the unexpected withdrawal of party co-chairman Grant Shapps from a pre-election Q&A session with Mr Grayling sent as a substitute speaker."

Well they have every right to be disappointed with Grayling - but to be 'upset by the unexpected withdrawal of party co-chairman Grant Shapps' is plain barking ...
If a majority of 42 is not a marginal what is?
A majority of around 5,000

Not great, but as long as this isn't a trend but variation around a sample ok.

This is what David Cameron calls "protecting the poorest and most vulnerable":

Mitchell was living in the tent with his father Keith, 62, following their eviction from their four-bedroomed home in Birch Green, Skelmersdale, Lancashire, last year when they fell behind with their repayments.

Keith was also diagnosed with severe health problems including malnourishment, scabies and dementia.
As Owen Jones has said, whatever you feel generally about Labour, surely it is worth getting them into power just for the sake of the 500,000 people affected by the bedroom tax alone. How can anyone vote for the continuance of this disgraceful policy under the Tories? Can't wait to get them out and only sad that for so many people it will be 5 years too late.

Think they're probably sensible to give it up, given their London polling. Very big Lib Dem vote last time to be squeezed.

What is it with these Tories that they think they don't have to answer or pitch to their electorate?

We answer to them, not the other way around.

Now, go buy a cap to doff.

It took the tories a lot longer to delete their previous mistakes from the net.

Looks like some of those fence sitters fell off on the Tory side, instead of kipper land. Or perhaps the pollsters gave them a nudge.

I'm getting nervous too. Six weeks indoors, and it's too close for a taxi and a bit too far to walk. It takes me a couple of days to gear up for getting out. Eek, it really is that close. Thanks, whoever made that point, muchly grateful. :smack:

I've got serious collywobbles and keep wondering what stunts puffed up pride can generate.

Really is extraordinary watching the changing facial expressions of our fish pointer in chief, even the makeup doesn't cover the nakedness of his disintegration. A person like that should not be in charge.

Anyone know what the odds are on the howls of 'red tories' dying down?

No clear picture yet of circumstances, but three people died today on our raliways, separate incidents. Two in London and one in Bristol.
