Some 'trolls' can serve a useful purpose, making us look at things afresh; Notso, while terminally pedantic and unwilling ever to concede when he'd got it wrong, was one such. But second rate, frankly none too bright trolls - Rusty and his many sockpuppets for example - serve no real purpose except to provide a little fleeting amusement; they are the Grant Shapps of the goat eating world, trying to show how clever & cunning they are, et simply proving that if their brains exploded they would be unlikely to move a hair.

At the moment I'm enjoying poking him with a stick, when I get bored I'll just scroll on by; either way he is achieving nothing apart from taking up valuable storage space and wasting precious oxygen.

You do realise, Grim, that he's probably jerking one off everytime he gets a reply.

Option 4: Edit the posts to make them say "I have never satisfied anyone in bed and my parents are ashamed of me."

As a woman, have to say....Left Wing Men Do It Better ;)

& for Rusty Chick

Psychologists say internet trolls are psychpaths.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/yo ... nd-sadists

& even worse news for you, personality disorders are usually untreatable, so you'll always be like it.

Did you not see my post about people with serious, and usually untreatable personality disorders like psychopathy being internet trolls.

Feel sorry for you, even though we can laugh at your expense.

rustinpeace wrote:Good grief. This is just getting funny now. I've never encountered such a fragile, precious, unstable group of people in my entire life. It's little wonder that the Left scraps and fights with each other every five minutes, when you are so vulnerable to falling apart whenever you're presented with a difficult or opposing point of view. One or two of you appear to at least acknowledge that you need to be able to rebut the various charges correctly levelled against Labour, but for the most part it seems many of you are after nothing more than a 'safe space' where your views can be aired unchallenged. The fact that The Guardian is now too 'right wing' for some of you demonstrates just how divorced from reality you have become.

In fact, this is the one point I neglected to make when detailing the reasons that your Party/ideology/Grand Coalition is doomed yesterday. Some of the more hysterical ideologues here are so sensitive to difficult points of view that you immediately move to 'ban' or suppress anyone who disagrees with you. This is what ensures that this place will never be anything more than an echo chamber and is also the kind of thinking which led to Labour's crushing defeat last week. It's the thinking which will ensure that Labour picks a hopeless, doomed leader later this year. My money's firmly on union shill Mid Staffs Burnham, who will never, ever be Prime Minster of this country. Tony Blair aside, Labour hasn't won an election since 1976. The fact that some of you still think that silencing the Blairites and running on a Left-wing ticket is the way to go is testament to the unblinking lunacy that some of you exhibit on a daily basis. The triumph of optimism and hope over experience. Mind you, I want to see Labour obliterated and condemned to Opposition for ever, so I hope they listen to you and select the leader accordingly.

In any case, I can make your little vote a lot easier for you. I've had my fun, watching you spend years building up to the election only to get completely wiped out. I had my fun popping up last Friday to add insult to injury and stick the boot in to Labour's catastrophic failure. I've had my fun watching the fallout and the panic on here, as plans are hastily cobbled together for the utter fantasy that is the 'Grand Coalition of the Left'. I'll be on my way. I'll leave you to your echo chamber and will desist posting on here. Well, at least until the Labour leadership election, when an 'I told you so' certainly isn't beyond the realms of possibility. After all, I have five years of Conservative majority government to relish; it hardly seems right to waste it winding up the zealots of the Labour Left.

I look forward to hearing the about roaring successes of the Grand Coalition in due course. Political earthquakes, tanks parked on lawns etc.

Yours,
Rusty

I think we touched some nerves there !

Would willing shell out some dosh to help the poor thing get some psychiatric treatment at a private clinic, so NHS patients wouldn't have to share the facilities with them.

I wonder why they/it keep coming back?

How many times have they/it told us that they're, like, not coming back?

How many times will they/it just pop in to tell us (again) that they're not coming back?

The definition of insanity - endlessly repeating the same behaviour in the hope of a different result.

I rest, m'lud.

Akshully - no I don't....

Psychopathy and sociopathy are mental health disorders which are not treatable in by any medical or psychotherapeutic intervention.

They/it will always be like this.

Personalities with such tendencies are over-represented in politics, high finance, and management.

They/it probably want to be in politics or something but have been thwarted by others far worse.

This infers that they're not even bad enough for that.

Poor dab/s. It can't be easy for them.

Whaddya reckon, guys? Should we pray for them or something?

I have it on very good authority that 'them/it' is definitely an 'it'.

I'm sorry Eph I do not pray, it's a waste of time and knee skin.
I do blaspheme however - it works for me :P

I do pray on occasion - though I have no idea who/what I'm praying to. Well, sort of meditate.

It's an AA thing - we kinda have to, really. :zen: :zen: :zen: :zen: :zen: :zen: :zen:

The idea is that if we pray for people we resent, the resentment goes away......as I don't resent these twerps, it won't work.

 I know! I'll get up really early to feel sorry for 'em a bit longer.
(It works when I want to hate IDS for a good long session)

I guess the thing with twat features is that it isn't actually interested in a discussion. Trolls never are. If it was merely presenting a right wing viewpoint then I wouldn't have an issue with it.

The rule is disagree but be respectful.

If it actually held those views it would need sectioning for its own protection.

I know it's easier to say than do but totally ignoring anything they post would be my preferred choice but I've opted for 2
While some of them may post something useful in making us rethink attitudes the two(!) I've seen here recently are clearly just negative gloaters, with a common vocabulary, so perhaps just remove them from the main thread.

I'm voting for DonutHingeParty's option 4.

Reasonable discussion is not the same as trolling and the examples we have been given this week are easy to categorise. Plus, it's funny and I could do with a few laughs at the moment.

I think our current troll contributes absolutely nothing (at least the likes of OpenSeas/laverda "over there" would actually debate sometimes, in their own inimitable fashion)

In that case, surely simpler just to ban them?
