Of course, we (I) could also start a rumour that lots of English second-homers flipped their main address... but that would be cheeky!

In further news, Dundee Count has been evacuated. No official reason yet given.

(Edit 8mins later: they are back and counting after 2nd fire-alarm)

Heading for Edinburgh for the Official Announcement, perhaps? I hope so, otherwise I would regard it as a dereliction of duty. TBH, Alistair Darling has a duty to be there, too, as leader of the Better Together campaign. Whichever way things go both campaign leaders and all official campaign spokespeople should be there.

Think we can now safely say it's a No,even if Glasgow returns a Yes the disparity will be too much, given already counted votes and indications from other areas.

Getting a bit emotional I'm glad that independence appears to have been rejected, but what is quite clear there is large scale disaffectation that needs to be addressed.

Morning, Stephen. Yes, it's a shame to hear that phrase used anywhere although I can see why it's become popular. If it were truly about fear, though, Better Together would have warned that if Scotland voted Yes, a "great, black slithery thing" would "cra-a-awl up the light-house!".

Good (early) morning, everyone.

Transistor radio worked a treat (the bits I heard, anyway)! Radio 4\5 coverage of events not bad at all and no Jeremy Vine. I woke up just now to hear the Glasgow, and most probably the final, result. I've made tea and will now try to catch up with all your comments. Nicola Sturgeon is doing a brave job of fronting what now appears to be the losing side. I truly feel for her.

Treat to come later today - DevoDave. Give me strength. He owes Gordon Brown a debt of thanks, that's for sure.
