Friday 25th.December - Christmas Day

Good morning, all - and a happy day to you however you celebrate.

Her Majesty the Queen thinks we should all be grateful and hopeful.

Pope Francis is annoyed about consumerism and indifference.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is worried about ISIS.

Americans are shooting each other in shopping malls.

OGRPPFGTCC (or someone) is having a COBRA meeting about floods.

I'm stuffing a chicken.

That's the news.

xx

Must be easy to say be grateful and live in hope when you haven't got IDS breathing down your neck, have instant access to some of the best healthcare in the world, never hungry and a few billion in the bank.

Indeed, Toby.

I am feeling very sad for people whose Christmas present yesterday was notice of a sanction. And angry on their behalf.

I expect IDS will have a lovely dinner and I hope he chokes on it.

Just back from our sons.
One of his dogs Jester, who is Jack Russell sized but bears no resemblance to one, [think dachshund X beagle] is really enjoying it. I've been washed thoroughly, sat on, and had to share a Liquorice Allsort with him before he'd stop...

I do miss my dogs. They always enjoyed Christmas.

It was the first totally toy free Christmas in 25 years and D-in-L said it felt really peculiar.

Mr Ohso is watching Carry on at your Convenience ...

Ho, ho, ho.

@Ohso - mainly.

I don't want to compound your missing dogs feeling but ... the best bit of today so far has been giving the dogs their seafood twist treats.

The rush, gobble and crunch experience was more than equivalent to kids tearing the wrapping paper off.

Plus we got the fishy smell and slobber afterwards ... slate floor copiously licked.

I am about to do a bit of prep for the roasted cauliflower jalfrezi we'll be having later before we walk the fishy trio down on the beach.

Greetings and peace to all.

Oh good the NHS Choir have won the No 1 spot.

Will be thinking rather uncharitable things about 'Unt' while I break up the cauliflower florets.

Sheba, the Collie cross who was with us during the seventies early eighties, loved Coca-Cola. Normally suspicious and not particularly friendly she'd go off with anyone who dangled a can in front of her nose. How she developed a taste for it, we never knew, because we couldn't afford cans of drinks when the kids were small. Rarely had it in the house.
We always put a can on the Christmas tree for her.

Merry Christmas. I wish joy to everyone. Apart from Donald Trump. To whom I wish tidings of his own mess.

Just popped in to wish everyone a merry Yule. I'm now, since yesterday, officially an OAP: who was it said we get more right-wing as we get older? They were wrong! :lol!:

Mr Riots and I seem to be getting more radical. Shame we can't employ the same reverse process with our physical selves!

You'd think he and the other tossers would be too ashamed to put their heads over the parapet.

It's over and above arrogance. I don't think there's even a word for it.

He's never too brass necked to claim credit in some way for this success, personally or for the current government.

Just about to tuck in to the turkey, hope you're all having a good Christmas Day FTNers.

Need a new word, been playing with thesaurus & got as far as contumelious,
but doesn't really do it.
Though 'Contumelious Hunt' has a certain ring to it.

It boils down to whether he's arrogant, ignorant, taking the p**s. Or all three.
