My son is pro-EU. From his experience of interactive console games, he says that Europeans are much more friendly than Americans. Unfortunately he won't be voting, though, because he's only 12.

You've got to feel a bit sorry for BF though. Mosley's lot had sharp Hugo Boss inspired black shirts. Dowding's lot get grey flat caps, cheap anoraks and, for dress occasions, a down-market version of the Black and Tan's clobber. Topped off with... a stylish grey flat cap.yahyah wrote:I hadn't realised that Britain First was Mosley's Blackshirt's slogan.
Pure coincidence, I'm sure.

At time of writing, the Jo Cox memorial fund is around £50,000 short of raising a million pounds in three days, almost entirely from small donations, which are still coming in.

No, that's a new one to me. Mind you, Walker, where I grew up was a bit of an island in those days. Cut of by the Tyne, Fossway and Ouseburn, so expressions were very localised (I never set foot in the Wesr End of the Toon until my mid 20's.
Anyway, here's a thing. Just had a lovely day down in Chester le Streeet watching Yorkshire giving Durham a bit of a possing. The route there involves driving through Newcastle, Gateshead, Low Fell and a chunk of the Street. There's not a single EU related poster anywhere, either in or out. I'm sure that's significant in some way, but I'm not sure what.
PS. Apols to the southern FTNers, but I forgot my sun cream and got burnt. Blinding sunshine after the morning haar had cleared.

Shonky - it's a word I use a fair bit. When I use it, I mean dodgy, suspect, unreliable (re people or inanimate objects when the latter are liable to stop working, blow up, wobble and all that). Don't know where or how I picked it up, though.

The average age of the signatories is 61 and nearly two thirds of them are over 60 years old.
More than a third have “former” in their job titles, and a similar proportion have non-executive roles. Only three of the 110 signatories are women.

One Brexit supporter posted a link about Mike Ashley's Sport Direct exploitation, along with barking about 'Vote Leave to tackle zero hours'. I asked if they knew that Ashley supported Brexit. If they did know, why did they think Ashley would suddenly become concerned about his workers if Brexit won.
