Jeremy Corbyn leadership

For articles and links relating to Jeremy Corbyn's leadership campaign.

Edited to add:

This should be used as a facts and reference depository (like the Troll Busters thread). Only post articles and facts relating to the leadership campaign that would help someone undecided vote for this candidate. I would encourage some discussion of the posts, but it should be kept on topic and not involve abuse from or about either candidate.

Jeremy Corbyn: A revolution in plain sight

The people of Liverpool were inspired by their comrades in York, Hull, Leeds, Salford, Newcastle, Plymouth and Cornwall this weekend, and tonight we have doubtless inspired countless others. I have always been proud of my city. It is a place of solidarity, of hope and of determination. Tonight it was one of many cities joined in a nationwide campaign for socialism. We will all never walk alone.

Stung by accusations they don’t have a plan, Labour’s rebel MPs have let it be known they could form a breakaway grouping in Parliament and seek to claim the mantle of the official Opposition.

You might view it as either pragmatic politics, or ludicrous self-indulgence, depending on your stance towards Jeremy Corbyn – but what is becoming clear is that the centrists don’t like repeats.

Sorry. We're not allowed discussions on here but as it's you....

My CLP bottled out of it and refused to have a members meeting, because the bods in charge are for the PLP, but the membership is mainly for Corbyn. Not easy to say whether those other areas have the same reason or if they're neutral.

Rhea Wolfson, one of the six Jeremy Corbyn supporters elected to the party's ruling National Executive Committee, says there should be "a more healthy conversation around re-selection".

Ms Wolfson told The World at One's Martha Kearney that the ability to reselect MPs regularly was an "important tool that members should feel that they can use if they need to".

The recent history of Bristol is one close to my heart. My friend Tony Benn represented the city for 33 years and I’ll never forget the 1963 bus boycott which lead to the company revoking its policy not to employ black or Asian people.
In May this year Bristol elected the first black city mayor in the whole of Europe – Labour’s Marvin Rees.
I felt that history and tradition on Monday when we held this inspiring rally in the city centre →

When millionaire Blairite Tessa Jowell tries to imply grassroots candidate Rhea Wolfson For NEC & member of The Labour Party is disconnected, her response is wonderful.

Rhea Wolfson - "the idea that I am not on the doorstep - I am a party activist...I've been everywhere campaigning for the party at elections.

I've campaigned beside you, and so do these Momentum activists, there's councillors involved, there's local representatives and it is insulting to say otherwise."

The idea that the millionaires in the PLP think they can speak to rank and file activists in their own party like this, in public, is a frank, disgusting indication of how disconnected these PLP M.P.s are from us, the People.

Am posting it on Owen's thread too, because it covers both of them, but will delete this if anyone wants.
Because some feel the main thread should be kept free of leadership issues I'm not posting it there.
It seems to be a choice of who to get flak from. at the moment.
