Just out of curiosity is everyone else getting the same copyright issues when posting videos as I am? These days for me nearly everything says 'This video contains content from WMG' which is Warner Brothers, even if the video has nothing whatsoever to do with them. I only ask because I'm with the ever useless TalkTalk and they've been making a concerted yet hilariously futile effort of late to clamp down on torrent sites and the like and I was wondering if this was a symptom of that.
Just to be clear those radio signals we've sent into space that have reached 70 or so light years, after about 10 light years those signals become so streched and diffuse they become indecipherable. We're never going to get aliens coming here showing us old broadcasts of Hitler. They may still disappointingly pretend to be our Dad because our fragile human minds can't take cosmic weirdness and Lovecraft was right. Or they've already been here. How would we know? Fermi's paradox doesn't take into account that this planet is 4.5 billion years old and we've only been a species with reliable records for about a century. Aliens could have visited this planet (or their self replicating probes) countless times while we scratching our hominid arses. Sorry I do believe I'm going off on one...hope you enjoyed the video.
And as to my personal belief when it comes to aliens. I don't have enough evidence to give an informed opinion. But it does seem, at least in this galaxy, that if they're there they're hiding.
This reminds me of living with hippies. I remember one guy called Rod who insisted upon walking around naked with his dick swinging around when you were trying to eat. That wasn't for me, I'm no Victorian prude but one's naked tackle should never be close to food.
Ah, 'Bike ride to the moon' "Now I shan' t be peddling any higher 'Cos a sharp Sputnik has given me a cosmic flat tyre." A later XTC album, thanked the Dukes for loaning them their guitars, the first Dukes album (25 o'clock) allegedly sold well in some countries (Korea?) because it wasn't realised that it wasn't genuine, so to speak. XTC were also responsible for an earlier undercover Xmas single:
I've been increasingly getting messages on these embedded videos saying "This video contains content from WMG...snip...watch this video on Youtube" so I wasn't able to watch the videos here and was desperately trying to find videos to post that didn't trigger this warning message. I assumed everyone else was having similar difficulties. Obviously wrongly.
Turns out what was causing it was a Firefox addon called 'Privacy Badger' which I have to stop unwanted tracking. I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier because it also messes up embedded football streams. Who'd have thought a piece of software doing exactly what it was supposed to do could outwit a drunken stoned guy.
