I left my phone in a taxi on Tuesday night, in one of those phone wallet things that also contained my bank card.

I tried ringing it but whichever piece of shit has it answered for a couple of seconds this afternoon then hung up and turned it off. It had a message on the lock screen offering a reward if they were to ring my landline number. But nothing. So I've told Google to turn it into a brick if it comes anywhere near the internet.

I kinda guessed my phone was gone so before trashing my card I bought another phone on Amazon then rang up the bank to block my card. The bloke from the bank told me this would be fine. Was it bollocks. Payment denied.

So I've been halfway round the internet changing all my passwords (not here you have always been a PC endeavour) then gone out tonight to borrow money from a friend which obviously involved drinking which is what caused the problem in the first place.

I doubt it will help much but there is a picture for you (as requested last week) in the hiking uphill is evil section.
It won't bring back your phone or bank card or ease the hideousness that is the administration of one's life these days, but it is a token of some sort.

Actually having just checked all my photo's around this place are backed up, I always treated my phone as a thing that could be stolen at any time.

It's fucking annoying but shit happens.

Once left my wallet in a Liverpool taxi, the driver found it and drove six miles round trip to my better half's work place and refused recompense, just to dispel a well worn myth.My best effort was losing my flat keys within an hour of taking over my flat, fortunately the workmen were still there and got me back in.All without the aid of alcohol, with the aid of alcohol in days past I used to end of in various houses/fields/ modes of transport with dubious characters and/or livestock in various Countries and a toilet in Aberdeen Railway Station for some reason,I thought I was Sherlock Holmes for a while.

As an addendum to this tale, this morning while washing some clothes my old bank card fell out of a shirt pocket.

As a further addendum cancelling the bank card that I hadn't actually lost would appear to have cost me nigh on £13 in call charges. That was just two calls. Seems it's time I moved from the Co-op bank because any pretence that they are still ethical in any way is clearly patent bullshit.
