The Sky's gone bright.

Post by Sky'sGoneOut »

I just walked back from a friends house in Leeds and the sky was as bright as if the dawn was about to happen. At 1 am.

I presume it's all to do with the angle of light hitting the Earth and how it bounces around, and not a precursor to us being invaded by Ming the Merciless.

There's all sorts of shit going on, the angle of the planet in regards to the sun, the bend of light as it hits our gravity well, luminosity of clouds.

I don't know, but it's not normal for somewhere as far South as Leeds to be light all night even in summer.

Clearly some cosmic shenanigans are at work.

Funny you should say that,as you know I often spend the late nights/early mornings in the garden in my pretend pink but actually blue dressing gown,to check my beloved star is o.k,of course no one else can see it ;and having a good.old natter,a bit.one way but I play the talking role of the star.I noticed it seemed/s lighter longer than normally or the time of year.

My neighbours donate bags of food to me and keep asking/checcking if I am o.k.There may be a reason for this, especially the latter.

I see.

My dressing gown is black and threadbare. And a bit stinky. But it's my dressing gown until someone tells me otherwise.

It's a silk dressing gown from Thailand. My Uncle worked for Shell oil.

He was a wanker. I took myself and girlfriend of the time to stay with him and he offered us cocaine and female mud wrestlers.

He died last year and it was more a celebration than a wake.

Everyone fucking hated him...besides his Thai widow who is now in my Mum's darts team.

One time he brought his Thai bride (this would be about 1995) to stay at my parents for Christmas.

When we opened our presents her present to him was a naked photogragh of herself. My Mum was not pleased.

You don't have to offer anything, just friendship and you know it will be reciprocated.

And also on who is looking.

Life is terribly subjective.

It's odd sometimes to take in your enviroment and imagine the human nearest you will be experiencing it completely differently.

Not just through their senses but their state of mind, their prejudices, their taste in music. All of these things combine to form our fantasy illusion of reality.

What's in our heads at any one moment is far from being real.

Including the myth of free will.

Before reaching the light at the end of the wood we were attacked by elves and other assorted mythical things which I was forced to hit with a stick.

I saw a Kestrel in Calderdale today, the first bird of prey I've seen there in two years.

Apparantly they'll follow a trail of urine but the heavens opened so I never got to try making a pee trail.

I wonder how long any of us could piss?

I reckon couple of hundred yards at best.

Elves are alright as long as they stick to being the old gods and magical creatures of our world defeated by the joyless cult of the cross that usurped them.

There is probably a study on this somewhere. My brother and I used to time how long time wise,in memory recalls it was a fair few minutes but such things can be disputed as to being sufficiently continuous and/or you can control the flow to make it last longer.Of course that was in a stationary and standing position rather than leaving a trail as such.I don't know if you have been in a position where you hold it in so long you can't get it out when able, fucking painful.
