Despite making no changes to my drink, food or drugs regime I've managed to lose an entire stone in one year.

And how have I done this?

Walking fucking miles and taking pictures and posting them in places like this. And when you walk you can quite happily indulge in any madness you care to mention if you're on your own. You can talk to yourself, or the trees, or the birds, to your hearts content without anyone judging you.

All you have to say to passers by is "Hello, lovely day" or whatever and you're one of them.

You're normal for the day.

I'm curious cJA, what is important?

For me it would be a sense of calm, a coming together, a making sense.

But that seems beyond me, so I just walk.

I find substantial walks effectively a brain massage.

Thanks Tiny, got the message and yes you're right walking is much as you say, but only if you're as far away from other humans as you can conveniently get. Even a wander round some city woodland (at least during the day) can cleanse the soul a bit. My biggest problem in such enviroments is encountering a woman on her own walking a dog or whatever and me trying to look as unthreatening as humanly possible. This usually involves grinning like an idiot and loudly saying "hello" in what I imagine to be my friendliest voice. Obviously this makes me seem like a lunatic, but it's the best I've got. And it never seems to work. Other than on other solitary wandering men. They always seem to do pretty much the same back.

wow....what a stunning picture.
I completely agree with what you said.
Exercise is very good for our health.
Morning walk is a best exercise which everyone can do...It can refresh us by that cool wind at the morning and as you said we can do want we want..like taking photographs enjoying the climate...and of course like taking photographs.

Shit, that is a good picture, and for anyone wondering that is Berwick Upon Tweed seen from cliffs over a place called Spittal which obviously comes from hospital.

What you see before you was once a hospital for lepers on the far bank of the Tweed.
