We like to fool ourselves that the little things we do and the things we buy help us relax.
It's all bollocks of course.
Anyway I was out drinking tonight and they'd never heard of Broadcast.

Oh for god's sake what the fuck am I on about now?
Honestly, you let yourself go out and this is what you get?
On my way home tonight on the bus I talked to a 71 year old man who had just walked from Hebden Bridge to Halifax through snow, sleet and driving rain. If I'd done that I'd be boasting about it left right and centre but for him it was just a Sunday stroll before he fell asleep on the bus.

Re: Relaxing.
I guess my point is achievement is a subjective thing, the little things that might make me proud are probably commonplace things to others that don't warrant a second thought. We all live in our own bubbles. We all want different things.
I for example want everything to be great and lovely and have a Socialist prime mininister.
Wouldn't that be nice?
