This one's for my therapist, she's a young beautiful Asian lass who told me she listened to classical music while working out at the gym she attends at 5 am.

I obviously asked her why she went to the gym at such an ungodly hour and her answer was 'to avoid the men'.

As the conversation proceeded I became curious as to what kind of classical music she was listening to and she told me her favourite was Chopin.

She pronounced this 'choppin' and after a brief moment of hoping she was taking the piss I realised she'd never heard his name spoken aloud, she'd only read it.

I could have been cool and not laughed and said 'do you mean Chopin?' And then she might not have looked mortified and embarrassed.

Every counsellor I've had has been a weirdo, my last one was a middle aged hippy who struck me as being more fucked up than I was, she had little pendants and crytals dangling from just about every available surface.

And if you ask them to depart from their laughably limited training they're fucked. Which isn't a good thing, because these are noble people trying to do what they think is right. And it is right for people with mild social disorders. It's just not what people with mental illnesses actually need.

Ask a therapist what they know about the latest neuroscience and they won't have a fucking clue, I had to send my latest one links to papers from the 1980's. What they're taught currently is that Californian hippy 'wellness' bullshit.

You wait 10 months then you're taught meditation exercises that have been simplified to the point of uselessness by a little girl who knows no better because it's cheap and easy and someone can say they're doing something.
