It's wandering time again.
Had a weekend walking in the Peak District. As its name suggests it's lots and lots of peaks, but little ones, like a cute miniature Lake District. We were in a place called the Goyt valley which skirts the border of Hampshire and Derbyshire. Walked up to the highest point in Hampshire without even realising, just followed a path up a moderately small hill called 'Shining Tor'. But then Hampshire's flatter my chest.

And here's the view looking into Derbyshire on the other side of the wall or maybe it's the liquid methane surface of Titan, I'm no longer sure.

I can however, with some confidence, say that that is a view of the next along peak called 'Cats Tor'.

And the view on the way back down, apparently you can see Snowdonia from there but I couldn't even with my new glasses.

Ladies and gentlemen for the first time this evening I had a quantity of mulled wine and not only was it disgusting it also led me to confuse my counties so please regard this as a precautionary episode demonstrating that wine, however bad, should be left alone and not have spices and tons of sugar dumped in it.
