So because I'm feeling so desperately uncollegiate about school (which is horribly unfair, and one of the absolutely shitty things about all of this is how it's impossible for us as staff there to talk to each other about what's going on) who would like to have some kind of organised 'let's all read this and talk about it'.

For no reason at all that I've ever been able to explain, I've never got round to reading Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness'. I suggest we all read/re-read 'Heart of Darkness' before this time next week and then all turn up here to disagree about it.

Well it was worth a try. Maybe needs longer than a week to read quite a substantial work?

I haven't read Heart of Darkness either. I wish I wanted to. I'll get it out and take a look.
