More than two dozen MPs have been sent an identical message threatening to kill them and their family, along with a picture of a
severed head. Chris Bryant, a former shadow cabinet minister, said police were investigating the threats against at least 25 MPs
made at the weekend, which come two months after the murder of his Labour colleague Jo Cox.

...this is a regular part of what we are dealing with at the moment, and I don’t want police to waste time and
I don’t want politicians to be treated differently, but the truth of the matter is that we are in the public eye
and somehow or other, this world of the internet has fostered an anger and a bitterness which a lot of us are
still bearing the emotional scars of losing one of our colleagues earlier on this year. And the sad thing is that
is not the only time that has happened.

Couldn't quite work out how HuffPo spun this as a result of Corbyn needs to be getting a grip of his supporters piece?

Speaking at the launch of his “digital manifesto” today in east London,
Corbyn said there should be “quite strict codes of conduct” for how
people behave on line when it came to abuse.

“Many people use instant access to Twitter more or less like they’re
continuing a pub conversation, and deeply regret the abuse that they
sent to people at that time.”

He added: “I absolutely will not allow any sort of it whatsoever
anywhere around our campaign - we do chase it down, we do stop it.”

Corbyn 62%
Smith 38%

Corbyn well ahead in all voter categories - by 70-30 in the £25 registered supporters

Source YouGov

So, after disenfranchising about a quarter of the labour electorate with purgings, court cases, and gerrymandering the cut off date, Smith still cant even get to 40%!

That's humiliating enough, but just think what the result would be like if the members democratic rights had been respected?

its all been for nothing, all this pain and divisevness, smears, sneers, and attempts to 'put the membership back in the box' have achieved absolutely nothing. Actually no, they will have strengthened the hand of the leader the tried to unseat. And they claim Corbyn is incompetent?

It would be quite remarkable for the left wing of the party, that has been so villified, does not wreak havoc amongst the staffers who have propagated this hideous nightmare.

But then Corbyn is proving to be a quite remarkable individual, so...
