Being angry is legitimate - but coming across as it doesn't always help.

Theresa May under pressure over 'dementia tax' social care shakeup

Plan to make elderly people pay for care in their own home going down badly on doorstep say Conservative candidates (Guardian)
You don't say? Next up - "The Listening Leader". Or the shower episode from "Dallas"?

Cheers all.

Yes, I had a great time thanks - Mantova for 4 days and then Parma - some fantastic churches, baptisteries, art, food and wine.

And no, I didn't miss the internet at all...don't think there were any internet cafes in either place and my only issue was getting my return boarding pass printed which a friendly lady in a Mantova travel agent did for me on Thursday morning.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Jaysus, what happened to the Observer?

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... heresa-may" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Substantial infrastructure investment is promised in transport, broadband networks and housing. Intergenerational inequity is to be promoted by ending the promise to pay 2.5% increase in pensions, scaling back the winter heating allowance and taking housing wealth to pay for social care. A digital charter will offer proper online protection. Development aid spending is to be maintained at current levels.

This represents a drive to occupy the centre ground, but Mrs May remains tribal enough to look after her own. Not only is there to be a wave of new grammar schools, the rightwing press – among others – is to be assuaged by dropping the next phase of the Leveson process on media reform.

On Brexit:
Losing access to the single market in services after Brexit could cost the British economy up to £36bn a year and have a particularly negative impact on financial services, telecoms and transport, a new report concludes.

Not pedantic if you can't be arsed to undertake the strenuous task of two seconds checking doesn't say much as to how much thought you have put in.

They've completely buried it on the website. I only found it as someone linked it BTL on the d'Ancona article.

Nah, you'd expect them to get the basics right, even if it is the 'sister' paper to the Graun. I just wouldn't expect them to fix it any time.

Think they might prefer to promote Intergenerational equity, rather than inequity, but you never know.
