Raft of new BBC Radio 3 programmes will take 'slow radio' to next level
Station to feature sounds of a walker’s boots and chanting of Benedictine monks as ‘an antidote to today’s frenzied world’

(Not taking the piss, think excellent (continued)idea.

Good morfternoon.

I don't usually like John Harris's articles - but this is a good one. And rather chilling.

It's a very persuasive piece, but I'm not so despondent (yet) not to hold a bit of hope that he's wrong.
Liberals can’t hope to beat Trump until they truly understand him

Edited to substitute "despondent" for whatever word I used the first time round

Two points:

1. Admissions are a minefield right now and the DfE seems to not want to have anything to do with coming up with a solution

2. I often wonder what happens to those who pass the 11+ but don't get in to a grammar school - do they end up being as successful academically as they might have been at a selective school? That's purely rhetorical as i doubt anyone has actually done any research.
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Can't remember whether I've done an update on 'er indoors recently. Been a little stressful over the past couple of days.

Operation was long but surgeon was really pleased with the outcome. Lots more taken out than expected (I won't go into details...) and it appears that she'd picked up a nasty infection from somewhere which was relayed to the surgeon halfway through the op. So, they're treating that as well as pain management. But I've talked to her which is good and kept the kids informed as they must have been as concerned as I was/am.

I was so worried last night and it was such a relief to find no messages on the phone - the very last thing I need is a "We need to update you on what's happened during the night..."

A bit like Hunt's dubious use of evidence, they argued that there was proof of job avoidance via DLA,particularly among the young,it was arse about face there was a concerted effort of better targeting to those that tended to "be left out".It has always been very much unclaimed.
