Won't everyone need to show their passport for this to work?

Well, I can't think of a way round it. Unless there's a "not looking\sounding foreign" channel. Or unless David Davis is called upon to come up with some more of his "blue sky thinking". Works for the NIreland\Ireland problem . . .

MPs condemn award of Big Ben contract to firm that blacklisted workers

Chuka Umunna among politicans opposing multimillion-pound deal for construction giant Sir Robert McAlpine

MPs have opposed the award of a multimillion-pound contract to refurbish Big Ben to a huge construction firm which was at the heart of an unlawful conspiracy to blacklist thousands of workers.

Sir Robert McAlpine is in line to win the £29m deal to restore the Elizabeth Tower, which houses the clock. The company was given a £3m contract last year to carry out initial work.

For the attention of the anonymous brave agitators of the sick/disabled/carers,this forum as an escape from the nesting system at the Guardian. That being the case, linking to the Guardian and therefore providing a space to comment here is part of the remit. As far as how many users goes,it is not the quantity but the quality that matters, before you get to,what is a hard concept to grasp for the Tory mind of thinking of others who may just read, even if ignoramuses like them.

Evening all.

'Er indoors has been moved to a normal ward - in fact, back to the same ward (if not the same bed) as she was in before.

I did wonder what was going on when I went into where I thought she would be and found a strange man in her bed...

Fortunately not - mainly because there was a rule about no touching in case of infection.
