Might be the first time that anyone has acknowledged what has been obvious for years - that Spiked are libertarian right wingers....and that explains the second bit in bold.By way of example, Baxter said the school’s most recent speaker had been Joanna Williams, the right-wing author of Women vs Feminism.
“The kind of debate which Joanna’s visit gave rise to was one where students were able to discuss issues of sexism and gender in an environment where they would not be criticised for the ‘wrong’ use of language,” he said. “This does not mean that inappropriate language is permitted – as this is checked and modelled when students are much younger.
“Rather, in a world where notions of ‘left’ and ‘right’ are confused and where there are debates about language and identity, we believe it necessary that students understand that these are now important issues and they will be allowed to explore these debates in such a way that they are prepared for the debates which are currently prominent in many universities.”

BBC were advised not to run "120k austerity deaths" article by the Science Media Centre.
SMC's CEO is Fiona Fox. Who, incidentally, has no scientific qualifications, denied the Rwandan genocide & covers up evidence against GM foods.
In 2013 she was awarded an OBE by the Tories...

Perhaps more important, that cabinet sub committee concedes European Court of Justice could have role in enforcing rights of 3m EU migrants in Britain after Brexit. This will be seen by EU as big shift by UK, but more ardent Brexiteers will hate.

Jim reflects...and comes to the conclusion that if Pedro lives he will eventually become a tyrant and facilitate the death (by tory policy's) of not only the people of his country but the country itself which will be sold off in destructive capitalism gains.SpinningHugo wrote:I understand. It is like Bernard Williams' famous parable of Jim and the Indians. You'd shoot one as the lesser evil.
I would not.
