Thousands of people have joined in the past few weeks, most of them to vote against a GroKo apparently.

Why are you so keen for the SPD to drop below AfD (and possibly the Greens and die Linke) in the polls anyway?
I want the best government in a key ally.
Not even convinced that is the case tbh, a Merkel minority government or even a "Jamaica" coalition would both arguably be more honest.

SPD behind AfD in the next election anyone - CDU then tacks further to the right

This is what the natural outcome is of trying to tack alongside the right wingers - you become part of them and eventually wither and die

Looking forward to the Miliband/Osborne centrist party that is supposed to be the future!

Well done everyone involved!

And yet Corbyn is supposed to be the useless one?

If Die Linke are going to replace the SPD, they will. In the meantime, a Grand Coalition is better than having the ultra right Free Democrats in.

Ultra right is a bit unfair. Very neoliberal is a better word. The FDP are very good on civil liberties.

A quick thread on Japanese investment and Brexit. (+a Brexit message from the Japanese Govt if you keep reading).

Japanese investors will meet PM on Thursday as Brexit concerns mount [Nissan to attend].

So, what could be expected from that meeting? 1/3

The Bank of England announced that voting to leave the European Union has cost Britain more than £200 million a week in lost growth since the referendum, thats £300 per second.

We have created a running total to show how much that figure has totalled so far.
