Morning.
Saw an April Fool that the England football team would be relocating to Holland after Brexit whilst scrolling through twitter this morning but I can't seem to find it now, or I'd share it. This is quite fun, though:

Are you ready for some "investigative journalism"? I went on Facebook, searched Conservatives, clicked on a page, looked at the second post down about Gina Miller, found misogyny, abuse, an implied threat of violence & implicit racism. When do I collect my Pulitzer?

This seems to be outside the paywall, there's some great lines in it.

Brexit has created a two-faced ruling class in London too. Very few British politicians, civil servants, business leaders or even many Brexit-cheerleading journalists believe the official state ideology of Brexit. They just mouth the slogans. The populist policy of Brexit has made the populist claim come true: Britain’s elite lies.

Well it was outside the paywall.
It used to be said British diplomats were sent to lie abroad for their country. Now they lie for Conservative party unity.

I don't think there's anything new in article, but a good summary. Now it is up to parliament. It is in possession of Cambridge Analytica’s and AIQ’s corporate documents. It supports a government that is intimately entwined in this. And how it negotiates those two irreconcilable facts may be a yardstick that future generations will come to measure it by.

Just as whistleblowers reveal Leave campaign cheating, to be investigated by Electoral Commission, Daily Telegraph comes out with this to attack Electoral Commission. Crude, dangerous, anti- democratic propaganda and unworthy ‘Journalism’
I couldn't see who was demanding resignations but could take an educated guess...Confidence in the elections watchdog is evaporating as it emerged that almost half of its board have made public statements criticising the pro-Brexit campaign or backing calls for the result to be overturned, despite strict impartiality rules.
An investigation by The Sunday Telegraph found that four of the Electoral Commission’s 10 commissioners, including the chairman, had made pronouncements on Brexit since the referendum – all of them backing Remain.
The body’s code of conduct states that commissioners must “act at all times” to “uphold its impartiality”.

Pissing down during early hours,
heavy snow from 4:30 (settled)
now back to raining again, with a steamy mist.

Have absolutely no doubt,if the timing had been different the move off benefits actually caused by death would have been presented as causative and pronounced a success, the warped minds of politicos is a very dark place indeed.

Some figures tucked away in this article pretty much confirm what teachers are anecdotally reporting:Government's Easter pay rise is not all it's cracked up to be
Fresh figures from the ONS last week showed households became net borrowers, rather than savers, for the first time since 1987. Meanwhile, the households savings ratio, which measures outgoings and incoming money, is at its lowest level since 1963.

Many years ago I did the accounts for an Education Action Zone and our Director talked about that, I was a bit taken aback at the time mainly because I'd never thought about it.
Anyway there was a Christmas Concert at the special school in the area and a group of musicians came from the private school to play, the contrast in their appearance, particularly their hair, was quite striking.
This would be at the end of the 90s before New Labour had any impact.

Ha, actually was wedding anniversary yesterday, (other half was a teacher at the time & April 1st happened to be start of Easter holiday..), I'm not the world's greatest fan, and she'd possibly enjoy it more than me, but I suspect dragging her out to a football documentary might prove fatal.PorFavor wrote:
