Ministers told to expect backlash as millions lose out from universal credit

"aim of universal credit – to simplify the system and encourage people back into work was right"

Tosh, there is absolutely nothing inherently "right"about simplification, encourage people back to work ,suffice to say by far the least that it applies to and highly inappropriate for many, before you get to the removal of the choice to,on design in our case. This from an "expert",all relative of course, comparative to most he is

education/2018/apr/08/real-rot-in-uk-classrooms-problems-go-deeper-than-money

"" "If they do badly, or misbehave, that is your fault for making your lessons boring. Can we raise our voices to get quiet in a classroom? No: that’s verbal abuse.""

Very good one, BTL brilliant but painful to read ...

A Tory source told the Mail on Sunday it was a case of "youthful exuberance", despite the fact she was nearly 30 at the time.
Ah, the Toby Young defence...
If I'm not here, then I'll be in the library. Or the other library.

Hungary's anti-migrant Prime Minister Viktor Orban has won a third term, according to election office data.

Mr Orban's ruling Fidesz party is projected to win 134 seats, which would give it a two-thirds majority in the Hungarian parliament.

Some 74.6% of the votes have been counted.

At leas the new one-percenterist party can have a clear and brief manifesto that they can promise to live up to if people vote for them in numbers - 'We will make sure we keep the Conservative Party in power'.

"Chlorinated chicken may be the least of our worries when it comes to signing a trade deal with Trump"
If you think Michel Barnier is a bit of a bastard, just wait till you meet the Yanks. We might just have to swallow our pride, among other things, rather like Stormy Daniels supposedly did during her encounter with Donald Trump. And it will be him spanking our ass this time.

"‘UK authorities to blame’ for ‘tragic’ death of Sergei Skripal’s pets in sealed home, PETA says"
She added the group was “calling for an investigation to be carried out in order to determine how this was allowed to happen and ensure that procedures are put in place to prevent any such loss of lives – which were valued by the Skripals and the animals themselves – from ever happening again.”
I agree, (so feel slightly guilty, sniggering.)

"‘Boutique’ form of Novichok used in Skripal spy attack allowed Russian agents time to escape".
Wonder if the 'Boutique' form, costs three times as much and comes in a smaller bottle.
