Bad leaders & policies get to break more than just legs.Comey compared Trump to the mafia bosses he spent years prosecuting as a young public servant.
“I’m not trying to … suggest that President Trump is out breaking legs and, you know, shaking down shopkeepers,” Comey said, adding that the similarity was in what he saw as a culture of loyalty around the president. “The loyalty oaths, the boss as the dominant center of everything, it’s all about how do you serve the boss, what’s in the boss’ interests. It’s the family, the family, the family, the family.”

People denied their rights as British citizens is horrifying
Any government changing rights, privileges and/or obligations retroactively violates a trust, throws rule of law right the hell out the window
You'll never know until you're informed of changes

The Home Office itself should be duty-bound to "find" this evidence and then share it with those affected (for their own retention and reference, in case it should be needed in future). Of course, if people want assistance in finding evidence for themselves (in the unikely event of their not trusting the Home Office) then - fine.18m ago 16:02
Rudd says that, if people have been in this country for decades, there will be proof of that. The Home Office will help “Windrush generation” applicants to find this evidence, she says. (Politics Live, Guardian)
And why, if this "evidence" is so freely available, hasn't the Home Office done this already? Lack of will being the obvious answer.

.@TomTugendhat spot on about Windrush kids. The solution lies in formalising their status, not abandoning sensible policies to limit illegal immigration. But this is urgent: they’re Brits who have done nothing wrong, yet they’re being treated terribly.

you gotta be kidding meThe Conservative MP Steve Double thanks May in the Commons for not giving him responsibility for making the decision about airstrikes when he did not have access to the relevant intelligence. It was right for the executive to take the decision, he suggests. May welcomes his comments.

Watching the statement and ensuing discussion was profoundly depressing. The level of exchanges was almost uniformly low. Tories pretended it was Corbyn the HoC should be discussing and he was an enemy of the UK anyway; the usual Labour suspects continued to oppose their leader rather than the government. Only the SNP introduced serious points for consideration.
May of course did not answer any of the substantial questions but lapped up the sycophancy while colluding with Tory pretense that Corbyn was somehow the villain here. The Syrians didn’t get much of a look in.
A despicable performance all round.
