From TwitterWe decided not to tell Alfie about Tories until he's older. We know the existence of Tories is a fact of life, but we didn't feel it was right to expose him to that sort of thing too young. It might confuse him (or worse, somehow encourage him to BECOME a Tory).

They recently "dropped" (I think one says in the parlance) an album called "For the Many".

Evidentially and ignoring party persuasion some of Labour "get it",hopefully the cleansing operatives won't be successful in removing those that are left.

If the above happens, his replacement on the NEC would be Eddie Izzard - just as when CS went.
Only found out at a quiz the other week that he was born in Yemen (no we didn't know the answer)

It was a comment on yet another article bigging up the Lib Dems.
"Yes I think we can all agree the Libs have had a good week". Or similar.

Hmm...
Bring on the manifesto and see how many people on the left (or so-called left) who've hitched themselves to Farage find out what they've done.
I've pointed out that Farage himself - He Who Can't Be Deposed - has said that there is ""no difference between the Brexit party and Ukip in terms of policy."Andrew Doyle

For those who have bought the false narrative that the @brexitparty_uk is simply a reincarnated UKIP, it would be wise to read this interview with @Fox_Claire for @spikedonline.

Incidentally, can someone check the thread and see whether they can see my tweet?

When I log back into my new account...I can't see the tweet which I posted as ROT. How odd is that?

Her dad was a Spad (yes they had them in those days) during the 70s Labour government - he was beaten by the Tories for Dudley West at the 1979 GE, considered a big shock at the time.

Re: Friday 31st May 2019
One local council byelection yesterday:
Gosport DC - LibDem hold with over half the vote, a 10 point increase since last year. This ward elected two LibDems in the 2002 all out elections and has generally been held by them since then, though Tories won in 2004 and 2010. It was also close last year, but now the LibDems won by over two to one as the Tories also had a double figure drop. Their 2018 candidate now stood for a recently formed British Union And Sovereignty Party, which is perhaps best described as a sort of centrist UKIP - the real party of that name polled almost a quarter of the vote here at their 2014 high point and the potential of that sort of stance was again shown as BUS polled a respectable 17%. Labour last with 8%, a drop of 5 points on a year ago but little changed on previous years.
Two contests to begin June, both deferred elections from the start of this month.

Yeah, but it doesn't show as a reply on the main thread. I'm guessing it's the tweet that's showing as unavailable but I've no idea why that would be. Twitter is both genuinely glitchy and editorially suspect making it impossible to know what's shenanigans and what's just bad algorithms.HindleA wrote:@RoT

@ROTSchools
Could be a change of @name causing the error?
