BBC news was 'fact-checking' Corbyn's Brexit in 6 months claim earlier.
He* was talking about difficulties in getting legislation through the Commons.
AFAICS the only legislation involved is the actual Bill for a referendum, which if he's got enough support to be PM should pass easily.
A new WAB would be drafted but surely wouldn't come to the House unless we voted for it, in which case it would be TWOTP.
Seemed to me he was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Not that much of a surprise - don't think he's enjoying this version of the Tory Party.
And history might have been a little different if the Tories had won a majority in 2010 and he'd taken his place as Chief Secretary to the Treasury instead of Laws.BBC Politics

Priti Patel trolling Labour again I see...
Experience in this field? None that I can see but that's not what's important here.Yesterday John Woodcock, the Labour-turned-independent MP, announced that he was standing down from parliament. Today Priti Patel, the home secretary, has appointed him as UK special envoy for countering violent extremism.
Woodcock, like his fellow former Labour MP John Mann, who was appointed independent adviser on antisemitism by Theresa May, has been highly critical of Jeremy Corbyn, particularly over antisemitism.

Re: Tuesday 5th November 2019
no kidding Behr...Johnson has a tricky job selling his plan while also trying to insulate it from scrutiny. There is a flaw in the strategy that makes Brexit the central issue, while running on a platform that appeals to public weariness with the topic. That problem feeds back into the incumbency issue. There is something dissonant in a campaign that says vote for me so we can end this nightmare that I told you would be brilliant; vote for the Tories to move on from the only thing Tories seem to care about.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... h-politics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Is that true? That people can't bear to look? Have people been honestly informed about the monstrous? With a sustained display of incompetence, cowardice, delusion and ideological mania, British politics has created a situation so monstrous and writhing with venom that the public cannot bear to look at it.
Re: Tuesday 5th November 2019

Their editing is deliberately misleading and creates something wholly false.Tories unrepentant over misleadingly edited Keir Starmer TV footage

Re: Tuesday 5th November 2019
The article I've linked above suggests calling attention to misleading footage and the subsequent attention paid to it may paradoxically help those having done the misleading. I don't know if I agree with that. I doubt most people don't think falsifying film footage is acceptable.

Brexit 'could mean border checks between England, Scotland and Wales'
Hilarious. Still at least the Fishpointer General is a decent fellow who'd never run away from some massive cockup he'd single handedly managed to foist on four nations.

Oh how I love living next door to a public park on November the 5'th.
The sheer joy of listening to continuous explosions for 5 hours straight. And now I've got the police helicopter hovering overhead adding it's droning charm to this evening's aural delights.
Maybe they're having another firework gang war out there like last year, or setting fire to bins in the middle of the road again then attacking the firemen like the year before.
Isn't bonfire night splendid?

Even if you take Brexit entirely out of the equation and pretend it doesn't exist if Swinson (should she keep her seat) mooted any such thing the party would remove her belt and shoelaces.

“I can be the next prime minister,” she insisted. “Why so ambitious? Because we can be and we have to be.” Sure, Jo. But there’s ambitious and delusional. There’s all sorts of things we’d all like to do that just aren’t going to happen. And wanging on about them as if they were genuine possibilities merely undermines every other message. Sure enough, Swinson went on to say this was a moment for seismic change. A once-in-a-lifetime election. The sort of once in a lifetime that comes round at every election for the Lib Dems.
