The whole exchange concerning the Hastings and Rye hustings and paying some people with a learning disability less than others to work on the basis they don't know the concept of money is worth a look on Facebook ,particularly the response of the Green candidate in citing the view /positing the.m.w/wage level/health and safety etc is a barrier. In essence ,have we the right to project/deem exploitation if the person themselves is o.k with it and/or "protecting"denies others right to participate/say they are wrong.

To be clear ,the Tory view is the appropriation of the right to work ,thoroughly skewed, but equally projecting our view that we wouldn't do it -I have in mind a more general subject to tasks undertaken-can and often is,a sneering look down/devaluing/judgement of that task.

Not the same but not dissimilar to the "burden/exploitation "of carers, same as JSA-if you are going along that track of thinking is hardly(especially given the exact opposite circumstances)a ringing endorsement nor indeed "pay the m.w"-given the skills and tasks involved variety ,not helpful of course in the false portrayal of what may be involved. It wasn't a burden,if you are going to really value look beyond such mis-equivalences IMHO.

Tory ministers back candidates accused of Islamophobia

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... lamophobia
In constituency visits that appear to contradict Boris Johnson’s repeated claim that the party has a “zero tolerance” stance on the issue, Sajid Javid, Matt Hancock, Andrea Leadsom and Thérèse Coffey have thrown their weight behind the accused candidates – all of whom are fighting in key marginal battlegrounds.

Incidents include one candidate who argued that Muslims have divided loyalties, as well as blaming immigrants for bringing HIV to Britain, and another who retweeted posts from former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson.
That reminds me of something else but I can't quite put my finger on what right now. I;m sure it'll come to me at some point...

A group of mental health professionals led by a trio of pre-eminent psychiatrists is urging the House Judiciary Committee to consider Donald Trump’s “dangerous” mental state arising from his “brittle sense of self-worth” as part of its inquiry into whether to approve articles of impeachment against him.

“We are speaking out at this time because we are convinced that, as the time of possible impeachment approaches, Donald Trump has the real potential to become ever more dangerous, a threat to the safety of our nation,” said Yale Medical School Professor Dr Bandy Lee, George Washington University Professor Dr John Zinner, and former CIA profiler Dr Jerrold Post in a statement which will be sent to House Judiciary Committee members on Thursday. There is a lot of 'nothing to see here' response to leaked @hmtreasury assessment of @BorisJohnson #Brexit Northern Ireland deal to @jeremycorbyn ...but in truth there is a EVERYTHING to see.

Currently a Tory/LibDem marginal at local level.

Brand then tried to wriggle out by claiming "they were actually from Wirksworth" (which does have quite a strong Labour vote)

The factory is in fact considerably nearer to Matlock than Wirksworth.

Journalists should try checking things for themselves and not just taking CCO spin lines at face value.
