Corona virus spread: where does the responsibility lie for it having got to this stage and can we (ffs) start holding global governance to account?

Johnson's 'starkest warning to the nation yet about what is coming'.
In the Sunday Telegraph.
Too busy writing that to turn up for the official press conference.
Don't visit your mother. Of course everyone reads the Sunday Telegraph before they go out.

1) where did it start?
2) how did it behave vis a vis animal-human-human infection?
3) what fatalities arose?
4) given SARS and MERS what were the MASSIVE OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES IN TERMS OF INTERSPECIES* TRANSMISSION?
5) Given 4) above, how come international meetings and travel were not spotted in DECEMBER?
*Yeah sorry and once in human populations INTRA

People jeering at John McDonnell for saying exactly this the other day need to take a good hard look at themselves...Even the massive economic package for workers and businesses eventually delivered by Sunak on Friday is not complete. There is a growing Tory backbench rebellion on the lack of measures aimed at self-employed people. MPs expect Sunak to have to “go further” once again next week to protect the self-employed.

Yes - but to assume that all their "vulnerable" customers know\guess this is no way to reassure them.
Edited - to make some semblance of sense.

We have nothing whatsoever in common (England flag in garden etc) but they're kind to me. We generally just wave. They get to grow stuff in my garden. It works out well for both parties involved, I think.

Three options, no discussion
1. Defer - lets say another year for the moment and wait and see (preferred option)
2. Deal on very close association terms, regulatory harmonisation, ECJ, wide ranging FTA
3. Nothing, you just leave.
Choose.

The private view on both sides now is that an extension is inevitable. Johnson may claim otherwise, but he might not even still be PM at the end of this year.

What? Now?‘Corbynism without Corbyn’ will destroy Labour, says Wes Streeting
A Labour party that espouses “Corbynism without Corbyn” risks disappearing from the political map, a Labour MP has warned.
In a new pamphlet with the Fabian Society, Wes Streeting, an MP on the right of the party who has been a persistent critic of Jeremy Corbyn, urges the party to leave the current leader’s legacy behind to give it a chance of regaining mainstream public support. (Observer)
