Good morning.

Johnson may be plumbing new depths of incompetence at PMQs but Patel reaches new heights of hypocrisy.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Paulette Wilson who dedicated her last years to highlight the terrible injustices faced by the #Windrush generation.

Together we must continue on her mission to right the wrongs.

Patel, like all Tory leadership, doesn't want anyone connecting damage they've done with its results.

PP is one of the "Oh but that happened under the last administration" types - the fact that the last administration was largely this one is irrelevant to her.

She insists upon full mourning, dramatically informed me she'll no longer dance. The cocoa she brought me this morning was weak and she frowned heavily at me when I brought it to her attention. It was that real scary glower of hers. She ever do that to you? I certainly didn't finish the cup. And it's still sitting there. She's weeping again.

Opposition parties must do whatever it takes breaking through Tory party gaslighting. People need to know it's Tory governments running them into the ground and that there's nothing inevitable about continued Tory leadership, better government is possible. Most important is creating a sense of solidarity between us all and ensuring we vote as one. People need to identify with that one party.

Face coverings are required to be worn in any shops, including food shops and supermarkets, but are not required in hospitality settings, including restaurants with table service, bars, and pubs. They are also not required in entertainment venues (such as cinemas or casinos), visitor attractions (such as heritage sites or museums), exercise and sports venues (such as gyms).
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... e-your-own" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Venue exemption from mandatory face covering isn't good public health policy; these are indoor places without special differences giving the people protection from infection. Yet people aren't having to wear masks in settings as risky as those it's mandatory wearing them. I'm especially concerned for staff of these exempt venue premises. Customers may be able to avoid them, employees aren't.
The government’s guidance for keeping workers and customers safe during COVID-19 in restaurants, pubs, bars and takeaway services clearly advises that designated indoor seating areas for customers to eat or drink should at this time only be open for table service, where possible, alongside additional infection control measures.

(cJA bold)

Government's clear advice document is below. The measures in place aren't robust enough protecting employees or customers in these venues open and without a mandatory face mask requirement. Simply stating words government clearly advises isn't enough ensuring people will be safe on that basis alone.
Keeping workers and customers safe during COVID-19 in restaurants, pubs, bars and takeaway services
COVID-19 secure guidance for employers, employees and the self-employed

Business is in charge of public health policy.
Government are clear enough there for sure.
