Job done, arm a tiny bit sore but apart from that fine so far.
The second AZ dose isn't meant to be as bad as the first in terms of after effects, so fingers crossed.

Hard luck Barnsley.
Not sure if I did the right thing delaying my second vaccine today when PHE England have come out and said one dose of AZ or Pfizer only offers 33% protection against this Indian variant. It's chucked quite a spanner into the works. Ah well, it's done now.
God that UK song was terrible. Whose idea was it to stick a fat lad between two giant trumpets?

Perhaps it's because this is the first time I've ever watched Eurovision stone cold sober but that was almost entirely excrutiating. Especially Graham Norton.
But if I had to make a choice it would have to be Bulgaria because she made me go 'aaaww', or the shouting French lass.

Re: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May 2021
We'd be disappointed with anything more.
Scarcely less humiliating for Germany and Spain, 3 and 6.

If we want to do better, then enter some decent songs. That certainly has more to do with our lack of success than Brexit IMO.

Who's blaming Brexit, we've been losing since long before 2016.

Feel perfectly OK today, in contrast to the day after my first jab.

The PM has a roadmap - unfortunately it is of Milton Keynes...

Seen a bit on Jo Cox’s sister today. She’s definitely not diehard Labour and has only just joined. However, the consensus seems to be that she does a lot of good work in the community and is an all round good egg.
So in the end, I think she would be a good MP for Batley and Spen and I wish her well.

Actually, it appears she was a long term Labour member before setting up the Jo Cox Foundation (when she felt it prudent to eschew party politics)

Re: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May 2021
I went for a rural stroll in Calderdale with my friend today for the first time in over a year. It was grey and grim and occasionaly wet but worth it.
The journey however was...unpleasant, masks are apparently not popular in Bradford and its environs, in the interchange I saw two people wearing them out of, say, maybe 30, but the best was saved for last. This isn't Covid related just typical Bradford. On the train home there was a woman a few seats up from me so pissed she kept falling out of her seat into the aisle, at one point the conductor turned up and tried to help her but he could get no sense out of her and did his best to make her comfortable. After a while I began to hear this inceasingly loud buzzing noise coming from her vicinity. I looked for giant insects assailing her but saw nothing. Then as I got up to get off at Leeds I realised it was a voice coming from her phone. It was her Mum shouting at her to get off the train. I picked it up and spoke to her and apparently her daughter had been out in York and was supposed to have got off at Bradford, so with the help of another kind soul we got her off the train and into the hands of some station staff. I'd given the phone to them by that point but as I was leaving they stopped me and the other fellow and told us the mum said thank you.
Just another drunk Sunday night in West Yorkshire.

And of course certain people will say, well Bradford has loads of those Asians which is why it looks like a shithole and you could buy a house for 5p.
What they fail to appreciate however, is Bradford is majority white British. It just looks like someone has taken a shit in their gene pool.
Some may criticise me for saying this, but I challenge them to share the 640 bus with the wretched rat like creatures like I had to do today. It was almost worthy of Lovecraft.
