” 4 April 2022 Dr Thomas Waite will support Chief Medical Officer ( CMO) Professor Chris Whitty as the deputy CMO ( DCMO) leading on health protection, replacing Professor Jonathan Van-Tam… ”
Put your clocks and watches back to early 2022 , after this on Toady earlier --
Just wash your hands, no mention at all of masks. Just like the “official” US position, and the Canadians , and the Aussies . Something very odd going on there .
Much fury by the minority(?) of sensible docs, scientists, victims, all over .

Penny Dreadful apparently saying this morning that BoJo "put his party and country before himself". Did her nose actually grow saying this?

We develop bold and practical ideas for the next generation of centre right thinkers and leaders.
With a milder version of item 4, reads just like a Labour manifesto, how depressing.
Notable that item 4 makes achieving 1-3 just a tad more difficult.

Good morning.
Apparently Fabricant told GB news that Boris supporters feel betrayed...seriously?
Beggars belief that they think that his awful behaviour both professionally and personally was all in the past. I would imagine his ex-wives must be wondering why anyone would ever trust him.

Well the fairly obvious difference is that Labour actually means this stuff.gilsey wrote: ↑Mon 24 Oct, 2022 10:53 amOnward

You can even see it as Tories trying to move onto Labour's ground if you want.
Good luck with getting many to buy it after everything that has gone on, though.

Well, that's that then.
Wait for the storms of protest from Tory members who feel they should have chosen...given what I read about the state of their membership records, probably best that they didn't get to have a say.

And the proposed online members ballot had lots of potential for mishap, especially at such short notice.

If Liz Truss' campaign chief was Therese Coffey and Penny Mordaunt's was Andrea Leadsom, what more did anyone need to know?

Just popped over to the Daily Mail and informed them that when Sunak goes to Chequers he will remove all paintings of Clive of India and the Indian Mutiny.

Just noting that the distinctly uh-huh word "globalist" is being used a fair bit in some parts of the online right at the moment.

Prof Tim Bale thinks Sunak is "intellectually, temperamentally and communicatively capable of doing the job of PM".frog222 wrote: ↑Mon 24 Oct, 2022 6:10 pmThe old spêaking clock was equally inspiring !RogerOThornhill wrote: ↑Mon 24 Oct, 2022 4:43 pm The bit where he finishes...pause...walks off. Relief at getting past Johnson and Truss is understandable but imo Bale will be just one of many commentators to be wrong about Sunak. He may be able to keep the tory party together for a while but people seem to have forgotten his dislike of and inability to deal with awkward questions.
We've seen him walk away from interviews when he didn't like the way they were going, more than once.
