Good morning.
So dim-witted Tory activist is a bit cross at fellow dim-witted Tory activist voting for Badenoch...and then jumping ship to Reform. I suspect she won't be the last and there will be much hilarity everywhere else at this.

Well this is a bit weird...the original thread about this lady's experiences is now marked as 'unavailable'. Maybe it doesn't fit the current 'the only child abusers are Pakistani Muslims' theme that some want to portray.

I only had a limited acquaintance with Sophie who I always thought of as 'Sophie' because from the guff 'she' posted I honestly thought she was a pure twitter creation .
So she already has a few score followers , who knows where she will go? Only 23 later this year .

Re: Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th January 2025
Imagine if any other malicious lunatic was publicly drumming up hate against a government minister, abusing her, falsely accusing her of being an apologist for appalling crimes and putting her life at risk. There'd be hell to pay, the police would be involved, colleagues would be offering support. But instead, because it's a drug addled billionaire moron with the ear of a fascist president what do we get instead? Spineless silence, or even worse appeasement.
This is our government for fucks sake, they have all the power, they could shut down Twitter in this country tomorrow if they so wished or at the very least publicly and forcibly rebuke the piece of shit, yet they seem happy to bend over and take it, 'block out the noise' as I read in an article today, as if gutlessly sticking their heads in the sand is going to make him go away.
Rarely have I seen such a pathetic, depressing spectacle, and I shudder to thinks how bad it's going to be allowed to get before these craven invertebrates masquerading as a Labour party do anything about it.

Wes Streeting was out of order, but he isn't "Labour" or even "the government".
There is something to be said for letting Musk discredit himself, he is certainly doing a pretty good job of it just now.
Labour MPs are starting to delete their Twitter accounts and/or move over to BlueSky. That is something practical that might have an effect.

Streeting's transphobia and love of private healthcare does seem to be guiding Labour policy.AnatolyKasparov wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 3:44 pm Wes Streeting was out of order, but he isn't "Labour" or even "the government".

Is he known for anything at all other than being AC's progeny? If not, then this is pretty much a non story.Frog222 wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 7:07 pm How Alastair Campbell’s son oversaw a £5m betting syndicate disaster

Well that was a much tougher line on Musk from Streeting this morning. Has someone had a word?

Please, just once post a link to the things you are talking about.
Foe those wondering, here is Streeting on LBC (although I disagree with "brilliant woman" in reference to Philips):
Although Streeting is somewhat undercut by this news:

In other words - stripped of media spin and OJ's indignant verbiage - its going to take a bit longer than they first thought?

It should never be forgotten that the likes of Shipman have nowhere near as good "sources" within Labour as they do with the Tories.
That is a key reason why the media so dislikes Starmer.
