May Bank Holiday Weekend
Re: May Bank Holiday Weekend
Morning
The problem with today's Freedland and the commenter below is that they are unwilling to note the enormous divide between jewish people who had either never been zionists, OR who had once been so and then deserted that 'faith' , and those who to different degrees had just automatically supported Israel or are outright fanatics .
Many of the latter group will turn up for a Jewish- Solidarity march, which whether one likes it or not is a Israel-Solidarity event ... with all that that entails .
Put more clearly, waving an Israeli flag is support for Netanyahu Ben Gvir Smotich and the IDF , while most Palestinan flag-wavers are in support of the Palestinian people and none at all for Hamas Hezbulllah and the various armed gangs ?

A couple of people suggested he might still be clutching the knife because of the electric shock .
The Met Police vid doesn't show any kicking ....................
EX -- "" RGIT fire training taught us to put the back of our hands against the wall as we moved along in the dark case we touched a live electrical cable; muscles contract when electric shock is applied. Seems not to have occurred to the policemen that that might have caused the continued grip on the knife""

Re: May Bank Holiday Weekend
Ah the joys of an attic flat. Great in the Winter when everyone else in the buildings heat rises and makes you cosy, not so great for the rest of the year. This is with every available window open at night when it's raining. It feels like I'm cooking in here. God knows what it'll be like in the Summer. Perhaps I'll take my tent and decamp to cooler climes like a poundland Raj Viceroy, camping in a field in Scotland instead of swanning about in a colonial palace in the Himalayan foothills. It's like I'm fucking Goldilocks, my last place was cold, this one's boiling, maybe in another 10 years I'll find one that's just right.

You won't do that, because midges.Sky'sGoneOut wrote: Sat May 02, 2026 10:26 pm God knows what it'll be like in the Summer. One of the benefits of living in a bungalow is that it's definitely cooler in summer, our house in M'bro had big windows and it was impossible to cool down the upstairs. That was 25 years ago, would be worse now.

What is not being amplified are other facts about the Golders Green attacker which, at the very least, should demand a pause on the insistence that this attack was antisemitic and therefore caused by peaceful protests against a genocide. In addition to the charges he faces for this attack, the attacker, Essa Suleiman, faces one other count of attempted murder for a knife related incident in Southwark at 8.50am on the same day as the Golders Green incident; this victim is Muslim. In 2008, Suleiman (then around 26–27) was convicted for a frenzied knife attack, stabbing two police officers and their police dog in Swindon; the police officers were not Jewish. He was jailed for 9 years but appears to have served a lesser sentence. Furthermore, just days before the Golders Green attack, Suleiman was released from a psychiatric hospital in South London. It's highly unlikely that someone as mentally disturbed as Suleiman would care - or even know - at whom he was impulsively lashing out. Shame on all the politicians quick to brand this as an antisemitic attack in order to weaponise it.
