I had a little furry visitor last night.

I was in bed reading and kept hearing suspicious noises which eventually caused me to get up and led me to a cupboard where I store food. At first I couldn't see anything but after moving a couple of jars I discovered an almost completely empty bag of rice (it was half full last time I saw it) and eventually a mouse which had jammed itself between the wall and some tins of chopped tomatoes. It didn't move and stared back at me, possibly in shock because I was stark naked holding a torch in my mouth. I didn't have the heart to kill it so I reached for an empty jar to try to catch it but in that instant it made a break for it and somehow vanished into thin air. The wee shite had crapped all over the place so my morning was spent cleaning and making sure what I didn't throw out was in mouse proof containers. I've been hearing mice here ever since I moved in but this industrious little bugger was the first one to find my food. To be honest it did me a favour, while cleaning out the cupboard (it's big and goes about 3 ft back into the wall) I found stuff I'd stashed that must have been about a decade old. Such as a long forgotten half eaten jar of marmalade.Obviously I opened it and the smell was...intense. The worst though were tins of potatoes and mixed veg that had gone rusty. It wasn't the age or the rust, it was the thought that I'd bought them in the first place. Why? Tinned vegetables are utterly vile. Was I preparing for a nuclear apocalypse? I honestly couldn't say. I've looked up signs of early onset dementia and forgetting about buying horrible tinned food isn't mentioned which I guess is good.

Performative bare minimum stuff isn't it?

A legally consequence free token they can wave around at their conference while denying any substantial debate on the issue.

It might have seemed a bit more genuine if it wasn't just a week after Starmer cordially welcomed an Israeli President who claimed the entire population of Gaza were collectively responsible for the actions of Hamas.

Isn't it really weird that crypto scammers and right wing political parties who want to obscure their funding have become best mates?

Maybe next Farage will be endorsing buying magic beans, which would hilariously release a giant who eats Englishmen.
