Guys, guys. Can't we just oppress minorities and make life terrible for people in peace? Why do you have to be so uppity about a little bit of genocide enabling?

Re: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2025
This week a large majority of Labour MPs voted to strip me of nearly half my future income. I'm not going to go out of my way to give them abuse but anyone expecting me to have any sympathy for them is going to be sorely disappointed.refitman wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 9:49 am Guys, guys. I have 32 in some shade in front of the house, but only 27 in deep shade elsewhere, but then the ground temperature there is still 25 .
And, the kitchen is still 21
Been down a rabbit-hole in the cool so far today, inspired by
She wrote at great length on the violence following the 1921 settlement splitting up the Austro-Hungarian Empire , drawn up by distant ignoramuses: so the new USSR wanted all of independent Ukraine for itself and the Poles wanted Western Ukraine .
The Poles promised self-rule for the few million Ukrainians which was of course a lie. Persecution followed leading to massacres and counter-massacres . Polish hatred is today nourished by various suspects .
I remembered reading an intrepid American journalist who went to see for himself, but couldn't find it in his major book 1935 edition, The Way Of A Transgressor --

Amazon is more informative but iirc the site doesn't accept links to them .

Well that was an exciting ladies Wimbledon final!
As a boob enthusiast it would be obvious who I was cheering for but it didn't do her much good poor lass.

Yes, it was kinda embarrassing - I was willing her to get at least one game but no...Sky'sGoneOut wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 4:29 pm Well that was an exciting ladies Wimbledon final!

Incidentally...that change in time from the usual 2pm?
If that was done so that US networks could show it at a sensible time over there, that didn't quite work out for them. And a 90 minute delay between the Men's Double's and Ladies Singles? Terrible idea...

So...there was this Labour councillor called Daisy Blakemore elected last year at the age of 18 onto Peterborough Council.
But then there was a falling out this year and she quit to become Independent.
And guess where she decided to write all this up?
Why, the Daily Telegraph of course! FFS...

And I see she's joined jess Gill's latest right wing grift - the Women's Safety Initiative...why do I spell a rat?

I feared for her after watching her lose the Queens final to a 37 year old German lady who wound her up and made her lose her rag with a really awkward game but I wasn't expecting that. I don't suppose anybody was.RogerOThornhill wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 5:29 pm Yes, it was kinda embarrassing - I was willing her to get at least one game but no...
It was like watching someone experiencing a living nightmare.

I have to admit I usually regard shorts to be the attire of postmen or children but today the heat was just taking the piss and I gave in.
Consequently my lower appendages are so pallid due to their lack of exposure they elicited comment at the pub I've just got back from, even from strangers. It was like I had the legs of Queen Elizabeth the first or something.

One memory of the Blair years is of a young cop cautioning someone for wearing an 'anti-Blair teeshirt'. It wasn't long after some anti-Terrorism legislation and iirc he was wondering whether to arrest the dangerous element..
Asymmetrical conflict being what this is, introduce teeshirts and placards just saying 'Against Genocide' and wait for those to be banned ... ... ...
the next step , as in Moscow, would be to hold up blank sheets of paper ...
