One for Hugo from the Guardian this morning

Cheap rail fares would mainly benefit the rich? That’s muddled thinking

It’s easy for nonsense to become common sense, such as on the rail rises. Beware the ‘fairness error’ – equality helps everyone

My point was basically it was the only way to travel any distance for us in our circumstances, regardless of class etc,far better to make generally inclusive than deny further (guardless trains anybody)what may be the only option.

The benefit cap...was envisaged as an “incentive” to persuade unemployed people to move into work.

Clear nonsense, given only a minority are expected to work/not working.Only by being legally forced to were some receivers of carers allowance exempted.
