Now then, don't confuse us with your lived experience !

" She claims the court refused to hear her views on how the ruling would affect her and other trans people. Another trans person had also wanted to give evidence. "

Oh dear, what a shame.

The suspect in the Leeds crossbow attack, who police announced earlier had died of a self-inflicted wound, wrote a hate-filled online manifesto hours before the assault.

Owen Lawrence, 38, was arrested and taken to hospital, where he died, following the attack on the popular Otley Run pub crawl in Headingley on Saturday.

A Facebook post seen by the BBC and understood to have been created by Mr Lawrence detailed plans for the "The Otley Run Massacre" and listed "students, nightclub goers", "neurotypicals" and "police" among targets.

The post described the planned violence as "terrorism, revenge and misogynic rage".

Two women, aged 19 and 31, were injured in the attack and taken to hospital.

The younger woman underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries and remains in a stable condition in hospital. The other victim has been discharged.

A crossbow and a firearm were recovered from the scene.

As a committed boob enthusiast I can assure you Mr Linehan is quite incorrect.

The same goes for rainbows.

Resting so far today, under the parasol with a book, but may go later .

25° here according to the Met Office. I had to flee from the sun after half an hour watering and weeding. It didn't help that I'd shaved my head this morning. Some sort of hat is probably in order.

Surely there are better things to spend the 'tipping drones' funding on...like literally any of the things they are cutting "because there's no more money".

To be honest something needs to be done. Last Sunday when I was out wandering near Halifax the amount of fly-tipped crap lying around was shocking. A lane not far from Shibden Hall was almost totally blocked with builder's rubble and timbers that had just been dumped in the road and there was what looked like most of an old bathroom, including the toilet, in the entrance to a field. And it's not just rural areas, not so long ago some arseholes left a van load of garbage in the urban woods near me. It's definitely getting worse.

I'm not sure how drones would have stopped any of that mind you.

I hung some washing out early this evening planning on leaving it out overnight then about half an hour later I could smell wood smoke coming through the open window and thought some idiot has lit a fire. Turned out it was the somewhat eccentric Catholic bloke from upstairs (who was very apologetic), he was having a Walpurgis night fire so I joined him with wine and got pleasantly sozzled watching bats. No witches were encountered so it must have been a success.

We both agreed this was the warmest, earliest Spring either of us has ever experienced while sitting in t-shirts outside at the end of April until it got dark.

On a related note it's been interesting seeing the Labour party tell Blair to go fuck himself with his calls (on behalf of his financial backers) to water down what's left of their net-zero policies. They were correct to do so of course, but he was essentially suggesting to them that they do what they're already doing across the board, which is pander to the right, so I was somewhat surprised by the vehemence of their response. Which leads me to suspect that rather than it being about the policies (which as previously mentioned they've watered down to such a point a homeopath would be proud) it's more about asserting their dominance, slapping down the old leader of the pack while pant hooting, showing their arses and bashing sticks off trees.

Just once it would be nice if such a display was aimed in a useful direction at anything other than a soft target but...
