Can't rock the boat can we !
Our plans are so secret that nobody in the Party has any clue what they are or even if they exist at all other than continuation of rather too many of the Tory policies. (There is no Magic Money Tree, TINA !)
Thatcher blacklisted Arthur Andersen after their negligence in the DeLorean business, so they were eager to get back in and offered Blair staff to work out his economic etc policies on CGT, public private partnerships privatisations for example . There were more, and the consultancies flowed £££ lovely jubbly !
That terminated with Enron but the damage had been done .
Jonathon Reynolds b1980 has been busy in politics all his adult life and appears to have some clue, but why is he getting 'close advice' from the bankers ? I remember one comment from the Times serialisation of the Seldon book, something like " the civil service were much more use than many of the outsiders" .

I generally like a bit of flamenco, which can sometimes even have the capacity to brighten a clanger mood. But not so much Spain's Blanca Paloma's song "Eaea" which sounds pretty much as you'd imagine. For my taste, swapping hardcore flamenco moves for sitting on chairs and looking at candles constitutes a basic error of judgement.
Clanger rating:
Was it fun: I kept waiting for it to start
Was it dancey: the video was about people sitting on chairs
What would Terry have said about it: probably not much

Don't worry. Only another 4 to go.
And Sweden's will be short. Believe me.

On Labour am all for optimism, but genuinely struggle to see anything we have in common these days.

(Am not happy or gloating about it, it's just what I despondently find myself thinking)

To a certain degree, we have to take stuff on trust.tinyclanger2 wrote: ↑Mon 08 May, 2023 2:59 pm On Labour am all for optimism, but genuinely struggle to see anything we have in common these days.
But they do know they are going to have to make this country better (in multiple senses) if they want to get re-elected.
Don't believe anybody who tells you different.
