Starmer's obit -- he was an unconditional Zionist who used a RAF spy plan to track down the phones of among others Palestinian journalists so that the Israelis could target them and a few score family and others .

Anyway QT is back --

Also looking for a new Editor , that application process should be fun :-)

Louise Haigh was on Newsnight giving her first interview since her resignation. She made all the right noises about reversing the Winter fuel allowance and disability benefit cuts, but when asked if she'd opposed either when she was a minister she came over all coy and said she wouldn't reveal what was said in private conversations. So that would be a no. She also claimed posh Southern blokes in No10 were briefing against working class Northern women in the cabinet. Which sounds about right. Although describing Bridget Phillipson as 'one of our best communicators' did make me laugh.

What didn't make me quite so jovial this morning was hearing my Mum is now being assessed for palliative care, although to be honest it's a relief. Hopefully it means they'll be less reticent to prescribe what she needs to end her life without suffering because what I saw last weekend was horrific and will never leave me. Alzheimer's took my mother years ago. What's left looks like her but it's just a shell. She had a brain scan on Sunday and my Dad read the results out over the phone to me. Her prefrontal cortex is gone. Everything that made her my mother, made her human has been eaten away.

On the plus side though at least she'll be eligible for NHS continuing healthcare now after they've taken nearly a hundred grand and she's almost dead.
