Writing in the Sun and using the language of Nigel Farage. Starmer has completely lost it.

Glad I missed WATO !
"
When the presenter, Sarah Montague, asked if Starmer was saying there were too many people coming to the UK from overseas when he made this remark, Malhotra replied:
“That’s not what he was saying.**” She said Starmer also made a point of saying migration and diversity have been good for Britain. "
** Liar

Starmer is as bad as those who came before him. What a bitter disappointment Ian Dunt
Echoing the far right on immigration, his moral and intellectual stature has fallen away
" What a depressing day. This morning, Keir Starmer made it clear that he would be just as bad on immigration as the prime ministers who came before him. Of course, he sold this as a moment of change. In fact, it was confirmation of continuity.
He evidently intends to follow the exact same approach as New Labour, and the Coalition, and the Brexiters: echoing the language of the far right and introducing new policies to make immigrants’ lives miserable. We desperately need an honest conversation about immigration. No previous government has provided it. Starmer will not do so either.
At one point, he used the kind of language I once thought was beneath him but now understand is not. “They must answer for themselves,” he said of the Conservative ministers who presided over the post-Brexit surge in immigration. “But I don’t think that you can do something like that by accident. It was a choice, a choice made even as they told you, told the country, they were doing the opposite – a one-nation experiment in open borders conducted on a country that voted for control.”
