I mean, it would be nice if they were making the decision because it's the right thing to do, not just to save their skins. But if it stops more people being harmed, it's a win

Yes but .... how BIG a win ?

When I was young, a U-turn really meant 180% , but the UK media, the politicians and many/most? of the British public are content with less .

( " Yes officer I did 90° of a U-turn .." )

" The change being considered could affect about 13 per cent of the 1.5mn people at risk of having their disability benefits cut.

The people stressed that the government might not opt to pursue this change, and a number of other options were being looked at, as Starmer prepares for what is likely to be the biggest rebellion of his premiership next month.

Labour MPs involved in organising rebels ahead of a crunch vote on the welfare reforms say more than 160 disagree with the proposals, which could see the benefit completely taken away from some 800,000 people, many of whom need help washing themselves or using the toilet.
"

Rounding up that makes 200,000 with benefits remaining the same and 1.3 million with reductions or outright cuts ...

but reading down there are a certain number of severe cases still losing everything, something up to 0.6 million .

Maximus is making a respectable profit from this , Liveblog --
The national disability charity Sense said “nobody should be rewarded for treating disabled people with disrespect”.

Tom Marsland, of the charity, said:

Sense’s research found that half of disabled people with complex needs who’ve been through a benefits assessment found it humiliating, and almost half didn’t get the right communication support to properly demonstrate why they need support.

These statistics are shocking and show a deep-rooted problem with the current assessment process.
This is where we came in, going back to the frog ATOS and the bloody WCA

Public holiday here of course, Ascension Day.

New energy so I swept and washed the kitchen floor, after some time decobwebbing the ceiling .

Next door has MANY more of them, reminiscent of a TV programme long ago --

Miss Havisham's house in GREAT EXPECTATIONS !

This video dates from around the time he was in the restaurant in Kramatorsk with the best-selling author Victoria Amelina when a precision strike killed her and several others . Roman was already suffering from concussion, then speaking from hospital .

I had thought he was (just!) a playboy estate agent before the War, but I learnt from this that he'd also already done a year's service in 2015 .

I don't watch all vids, but remember one when he's looking so VERY relaxed in the frontline, BEFORE FPV's of course .

One time ( 18 minutes in, against Wagner criminals ) he took his routine 30 rounds for his sniper rifle, used up all those, so had to hose down the orc zombies with a Kalashnikov .

At 15 minutes he expresses his hatred of guns , uniforms, everything military,.
At 26 minutes the strong temptation to kill prisoners, until you don't ....
At 46 mins , his brain scans still not goood ___
