Morning refit, hope you're well with no after effects from your 'funny turn' yesterday.

They're just dead set on doing anything, except things that will actually help.

If I hadn't actually experienced it, I wouldn't know there was something wrong. I feel absolutely fine, had a normal night's sleep and I've just been to the shops with no issues.

🤷‍♂️

After a lengthy read of the 'papers' I'd just finished googling on the refit case so you beat me to him :-)

RE the Wealth Tax

Times article -- https://archive.ph/wip/omS90

I wasn't much wiser after reading Sue Pritchard's next link , LSE 2021

how-much-tax-do-the-rich-really-pay

https://www.lse.ac.uk/research/research ... really-pay

Reforming Council Tax would help a bit, certainly, but what about the Trillions concealed offshore ?

"" In addition, Wikipedia says that bad actors could easily abuse the new laws - by filing fake complaints or exploiting vague “harm” rules to force them into entirely removing articles that people - or the UK government/corporations - simply disagree with. ""

The present situation where individuals up to highly organised teams can alter entries is bad enough , but Wiki remains a brilliant source !

Nothing to see here. Just Labour being explicitly pro-fascist

Pleased to say we have BBC 1 on our Tenerife TV listing so have been able to follow the football. Unfortunately, as we go into extra time, we have a restaurant booking for 7.30. Penalties and we’re late. Luckily it’s very close! They’ve done much better than I expected - or even hoped!

Hope you're having a lovely time and the ladies can win it so you can get to your table.

Harumph.

Well done England ladies, blundering and fluking your way to another victory. It would be churlish of me not to give them credit though, throughout the tournament they've been like one of those annoying stubborn shits that you just can't wipe until you've got through half a bog roll and your sphicter stings. You think you have it defeated but that brown smear just keeps relentlessly coming back. That's the best compliment they're going to get from me. :D

Because let's face it, they were outclassed by France, Sweden, Italy, and Spain, yet through a combination of luck and doggedness they refused to stop soiling that toilet paper.

So yeah well done England but as a neutral ( ;) ) it's always sad to see graft defeat artistry.

@refit Cheers!

@sky England are never going to be the skilled team in any encounter, unless they playing, oh, an awful lot of teams. Not including Spain, of course. But as a journeyman footballer myself, I can appreciate the qualities they bring to a game. And in the end, they deserved to win because they coped with the pressure. The Spaniards didn’t. Much joy here!

@sky PS all four of those teams mentioned could do with a bit of England’s luck and doggedness to bolster their undoubtably superior skills, then they too might win two Euros on the trot😊

@sky Lucky they didn’t beat Germany or I couldn’t have made the quip about two on the trot. They would, of course, have blundered and fluked their way past them too!
