This week the G's Heather Stewart was taking the piss out of Starmer's addiction to satisfying US billionaires' delight in polluting the UK with data centres and extracting oodles of £££'s from it at the same time , so I thought this article was from her ! Denis Campbell --
“Some NHS hospitals are spending more on PFI repayments than on medicines. Profit continues to be taken out by private finance investors, which could be used instead to treat patients.

“While the state of the public finances is dire, the government would be foolhardy and indeed reckless to bring back a version of PFI, given it proved such an expensive rip-off the last time.”

Nwogbo said any Labour tie-up with private capital would break its pledge in its election manifesto that the NHS would “always be publicly owned and publicly funded”.
Not only has Wes got an addiction to private health industry 'funding for his office' , but his 43 New Health Centres sounds very like Bojo's 40 New Hospitals ...

which just might (iirc) be finished by 2039.

I finally did light the stove, not in celebration but because the kitchen temperature was dropping .

Also disposed of yesterday's birthday presents left on the carpet next door by Boy -- a tiny frog and a chunky mouse . Today I just noticed the squidgy evidence of yet another mouse , he'd again been busy in the night .
