Second daughter came, keeping her distance, just to pick up their sharpened splitting axe . Whole family down with 'something' ....

Flu officially at pandemic level in several Départements .

H5N1 Birdflu now kills pussies, from domestic up a zoo's Benghal tiger and other felines .

Considering the scientific inanity shown by the NHS bosses speaking inanities to an openly incredulous Lady Hallett, you are not very much worse off than the US with the Mad Kennedy !

That joke, now seen in its third iteration, could possibly go another couple of rounds if anyone else would like to chip in! :D

Damn . I've been looking around for some good news .

And failing which is very unusual for me ! :-)

Had some news last Monday from an extremely uncommunicative professor, who just sent me away with prescriptions . Luckily I mentioned it to my farmer neighbour while getting in the organic ham and bread, because he called his brother who was there for Christmas. A nurse specialising in anaesthetics he then gave me all explanations for my three months worth of weekly injections plus explained my Rights to have all details of tests and particularly the bone marrow one .

He was really surprised that the drilling into my sternum was completely painless, which was a nice bonus .

So I'm going to have EPO to accelerate production of red blood cells, just like the cheating athletes ! And weekly blood tests which I will watch like a hawk --- I've been following them going steadily down for several months while I got tireder and tireder and that prof was dithering . Grrrr ! :x :x :x

Kemi doesn't seem to be doing politics particularly well right now...

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling sooooo owned right now. I don't know how I can possibly continue.

Back home and I feel like I need a holiday to recover.

The £100 Christmas dinner was meh, I cooked better myself before I left, and I almost fainted at the bar when they charged me £25 for three single G&Ts. At least we missed the fog though, the weather was beautiful and many coastal strolls were had.

Sunrise over the beach.

Another good man taken before his time, I mean a hundred is no age these days.

Seriously though he was a rare decent, humane President the likes of which we'll never see again if that country continues spiralling into insanity.

Perhaps if I live as long as him I'll get to see them come to their senses but that seems unlikely for a number of reasons.

If last month's election had gone the better way, I suspect he might have held on until the inauguration.

As it is, the US flag is going to have to be at half mast for the next 30 days - thus taking in you know what.

And there's nothing that Orange Man can do about it.

He was in a hospice with late stage dementia, he wouldn't have known his own name never mind who won the presidential election.

Trump is guilty of many things but prematurely killing a centenarian by making them sad is not one of them.
